I think the video speaks for itself. Impressive, to say the least.

And a very low looking arch.

Someone close to him said he weighed in at 280. It’s my understanding that he did the meet on a lark with no meet prep. He’s gunning for the raw 275 record at the Olympia.
The worst part about this video is the guy is pressing over 600 lbs raw and the crowd barely notices.
Badass as hell, that’s a seriously legit bench. And no one can even talk shit about “excessive arching” or any nonsense like that.
Damn that was insane, lol yeah just like Steel Nation said, the crowd just stared and keept quite, damn talk about an atmosphere for lifting hehe!
VERY NICE LIFT… WHAT DOES THAT RANK IN THE RECORD BOOKS?

Seeing as how it’s a powerlifter in a powerlifting competition, chea… er… arching is expected.

world record is 661 at 275lb weight class, so he’s close.
As impressive as that is, I think this might be more impressive-
His strength endurance for someone who can move that kind of weight is absurd.

Shit, that’s more than Kennelly
I watch the 405 video often before a bench session. That was a very impressive lift.

I’d of been yelling my head off if I had been there but looks like he would have had it up before I’d have gotten two words out.

In Kennelly’s defense, he looked like he had more in the tank. But, so did Baria. What would it take to get a 4-man raw bench off between Mendelson, Baria, Kennelly and Hoornstra? Put some dough on the table and winner takes it home? Let’s get this done.

Are we talking about a 405 for reps contest or max?
^^^Let’s get 'em to do both! Add up their max with max reps at 405 then put it against their bodyweight and find out who’s the strongest, something like that. Or whatever sounds coolest to y’all. It’ll never happen so we can make the rules whatever we want, haha.
That’s a sick lift on so many levels…
I know he tore his pec not to long ago…
