The Quest to Be Strong and Athletic

Good stuff man. I’m doing 5/3/1 right now and loving it, but I think once I’m passed the intermediate stage I’ll give DC a shot just for the hell of it. Question though, is it hard to hit the gym only 3x a week? I’m assuming you are used to lifting more often than that.

I have a good buddy of mine who switches back and forth between the two and loves it.
as for training three days a week. I love it !!! I used to do “westside” split tue/thurs/sat/sun. or mon/wed/fri/sun.

with everthing i have going on (job ect) i love training three days a weeks i come into the gym hungry and ready to go. i give it 100% effort. sometimes i will do some extra stuff here and then push the prowler ect.

I think the tuffest part about only training three days a week is mental for most people. there is no way that could work i have to do more lol

give it a try i think you will like it.

you can always add and extra “beach day” on the weeks you feel good and take it out on the weeks that you don’t.

Less can = more

jim

if you were going to switch back and forth. I personally would do it every 3 to 4 months to give things a chance to work. If you are making good steady gains I wouldn’t switch at all untill you get in a huge rutt.

Yeah for sure, I plan to stick with 5/3/1 for awhile. Starting Cycle 4 soon so I’m well into it but I’m still getting huge size and strength gains.

Sweet def stick with it as long as possible it is a great program. Very simple but not easy

Keep up the good
work

Not to get personal but this has been a very tuff week for me.
Which is prob why my gym workouts are going well. I have some demons from my past to kill. None any fault of my own. This is stuff
I have been running from my entire life it has destroyed relationships friendships and almost me a
number of times …

I don’t know why I am putting
this on here but it is therapy in a
way. I am lucky to have iron it
is always there to turn to when times are tuff.

Jim

Wow talk about sore legs lol
