it really depends on what situation your in my oppinion. if nobodys there then go ahead and curl in the rack, who the fuck cares. most gyms dont have many racks, and when theres alot of people there lift the weight off the floor. if your gym has a hell of alot of racks or you train at home go ahead. i dont see why some of you guys say its ok if you curl 135 pounds, thats not even much at all and anyone could pick it up off the floor
Exactly, these fags on here are just rambling saying shit they dont even understand, they just want to fit in with the crowd and bash people for no reason, if some1 wants to squat, shoulder press, curl, rack pull w/e let them do it who the fuck cares. Im going to do what works for me.
And for you guys that are bitching that their is not enough racks in your gym, Then quit working out at CURVES and join a real gym. [/quote]
Or, asshole, alot of people actually squat, and there aren’t any others open.
Also, CURVES has no squatracks at all. Worthless argument.

You do realize you sound like an idiot, don’t you?

It’s not the first time…
I wonder how many REAL gyms have multiple squat racks anyway…
If you deadlift allot and pull with a mixed grip, you should do curls as a prehab exercise I think.
Its like saying a quad dominant squater shouldn’t use leg curls to help balance him self out because its not a compound manly exercise, I would love to train with Dave Tate and I would kill a puppy for him to be my coach but to be completely honest he has been injured more times than years I have been alive.
So I definatley would would think first if he told me to stop doing prehab work "curls, flys, etc.
Besides curls make you look big so Il do them either way, and so should anyone who wants big arms.
Buckfiftytrainer, you really deserve to be flamed mercilessly for starting this fucking bullshit thread. But, here goes. In answer to your question, the problem with curling in the squat rack is simply that that is not what the squat rack is meant for.
It was given the name “squat rack” for a very simple fucking reason…It is meant for squats. It is not a fucking curl rack, but a squat rack. In response to the statement about curling in the squat rack being ok if no one is around, no. That’s bullshit.
It’s not a case by case basis. It’s rather a simple matter of principle. Have some respect for the intended use of the squat rack. Go do your curls somewhere else. OP, I fully believe that you started this thread just because you knew it would spark a heated debate. Good job. I believe you have accomplished your goal. But, in the process, you also revealed the kind of pathetic dumb fuck loser you really are.

So you’re going to do what works for you. Because at a buck-fifty, clearly, it’s working well.

This is sooo funny dude. People have a right to say what they want, and your not going to agree with what everyone has to say.
Is it wrong that im 150 lbs? the main reason i think that you say that, because you tried to diet before and clearly you cant do it. So you take it out on someone who has a better body. And to me yes its working well. I got 11 percent body fat and 16.5 arms( plenty of other people out there who are better). But hey some people like being a powerlifter and lifting heavy weight.

You have 16.5 inch arms at 11% bodyfat, while weighing 150lbs?

YOU GUYS ARE NOW PISSING ME OFF, if you read my other post as someone pointed it out… i made the made buck fifty trainer just because everyone just like "curling in the squat rack, gives shit to the 150lb guy, which is what i weighed when i made the account, im at 180 lbs now bud. read first and learn.
He simply gained thrity pounds of muscle after three short bullshit posts.A hundred and fifty pounds with 11% bodyfat is not an accomplishment it’s average.I know plenty of guys just like that who never picked up a weight. And my arms were 16" when I started working out at 14 at about 160 pounds.Congratulations your as big as an 8th grader.
$1.50 trainer,
You said that “technically my curl is actually around 50 percent of my deadlift.” In that link Hanley posted you said you DL 290. So…you actually curl around 145? Right?
