Just competed this past weekend, tied my best ever total with 1505 @ 197. Just barely missed a big squat (and total) PR.

I’ve given it a shot and just can’t get the setup right.

It’s completely counterintuitive, but I can get tighter and get more pop off the floor without one.

Any ideas?

All gym lifts within the last month. I train alone in a storage unit. Not sure why my squat is lagging so much, but it is getting stronger so I’ll just keep working.

I have a 130lb difference between my squat and DL lol. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I never competed but my gym lifts are this at 198

Bench 320 -2 second pause
Squat low bar 375 high bar squat 425-dont ask
Deadlift-535

Mock Meet today. I royally fucked up my bench, but totaled 1060 at 225-ish.

Squat 390
Bench 215
Dead 455

Nothing special at my bodyweight, but hey i’m on my way up

I cant help that he is 6’4!!

Bench - 265 lbs (no bounce, 1/2 sec pause)
Squat - 375lbs (below parallel)
dead - 455lbs

Don’t really train for strength, but I’ve noticed that lower reps actually help me with size so hopefully these # go up as does my overall size as I train heavier.

Because it was my first meet, I was nervous and I feel I left a lot out there. My goal is to squat 40lbs more, bench 20lbs more, and deadlift 30lbs more by my last meet in November.

When I first joined this site, I was just looking into lifting and didn’t even start yet. Good too see how far I’ve came along since then. It’s amazing how I never thought this would have been possible for me back then, but now I can see myself hitting 1300+ at 198 in 2 more years.
