Does anybody have any idea about their measurements? Would they ever even release those?
I actually think Phil probably has the best back double bi in the whole business right now, his back is just incredibly thick and it looks like there is a giant shelf where it ties into his lower back.
Kai’s back shots will always be lacking to me because his traps are soooo small. He has the strangest traps muscle bellies I’ve ever seen.

it does say stuff about them on Wiki but doesn’t say when they were taken or what bf% they were taken at. I have yet to see them quoted on their measurements

… I would put Flex Wheeler at the top over the last few decades as far as aesthletics and I think Phil comes closer to that look than Kai.

X2!

They wouldn’t. Any measurements would change drastically anyway. You are talking about guys weighing in excess of 250lbs on contest day. They may lose up to an inch in certain places based on hydration alone.
Most of the measurements anyone has ever heard are from the off season when they are more stable in diet and training.
Not only that, but most of these guys have learned by now how people use these numbers. I mean, you still have people debating whether Arnold’s arms were really over 20".
Honestly, I would recommend any big guy ever expecting to hit a stage to avoid getting into that at all.

Yea that’s what I assumed.
It would be interesting to see the measurements from the top 5 while their on stage, but there’s no way that would ever happen.
I an account years ago of a Mike Mentzer seminar given when he was still competing. An audience member inquired his arm measurements, commenting how they must be at least 20 inches, Mentzer replied that they were only 18 3/4". Go look at a pic of Mentzer in his prime. Look at those humongous guns. Remind yourself that he was shredded. Now keep that all in mind the next time some guy at the gym tell you how his arms are a ‘legit’ 20" -lol.

WestCoast have you checked out the most recent heavy muscle radio show on rxmuscle? in the first 15mins they start talking about Olympia predictions and i like their reasoning for their placings of Jay, Phil and Kai
Any of you guys watching the training with Kai series on bb.com?
Kai’s newest chest training vid, 8 days out from the O is up. cannot link it (it’s not up on youtube yet), if you’re savvy you already know where to look.
anyways, he pyramids up to 5 plates a side incline…crazy…then back down, i’d love to hit 405 flat someday let alone 495 incline for reps, nuts. the last 2 + minutes are good too, sometimes kai aviods the silly talk and says some straight up inspiring shit w/out trying too hard.
let the chips fall as they may at the olympia, i hope kai does well.
I hope Kai dominates. Always been a huge fan. Kai’s that kid that no one cared about. Unlike Heath, he didn’t have Cutler getting him endorsements and all that shit.

No I’ll check it out if I can find some time this week. Do they place them in that order? Because I wouldn’t argue with that at all.
What is the cash prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

You act like Phil is undeserving of all that. He worked as hard as (or harder) than Kai. Hell, I LOVE Kai, but he hasn’t exactly stepped it up in the last O.

X2. Sponsors don’t mean anything in terms of getting results. They’re not there lifting the weights, it’s you versus the iron.
After watching all of the vids, I’d be fine with either of the three winning as I think they are all great people. My money is on Cutler though for one last year.

Got to be fake plates.
Trust me, like 200 people on this forum are about to flip the fuck out about how that isn’t possible, and it will span 2 threads that are 20 pages each.

LOL!
Effin’ Beansie!
5 plate inclines really put everything in perspective between the freaks and the super-freaks… crazy

You know I’m usually with you brother, but 5 plate inclines being impossible was never the argument in the other thread(s)…
Anyway. Hm. I’d prefer Branch for some reason, too bad he’s out. (so sue me ID ![]()
