LOL.

Some people’s children.

Anywhoo, back to Kai.

What a beast. I seriously wonder how his muscles don’t just rip/explode right out of his skin.

Honest question, is there ever cause for concern when someone with such an extreme level of muscle mass flexes? I just wonder how everything from his veins to his skin can handle such mass without rupturing.

“I AM GOING TO TEAR THE HELL OUT OF SOME CAKE!”

I love how The Fray is playing in the background.

On a more serious note, any athlete, competitor, bodybuilder, or human simply in avid pursuit of a tremendous goal or achievement should watch both parts of the “Treadmill Confessions”. This is the perfect depiction and explanation of the drive that is necessary to be successful at the highest level, in any facet of life.

Also, somebody with the pertinent knowledge should write a Wikipedia article for Kai Greene, because the one that exists currently is shameful.

LOL!

I had a girl at a movie theater make a comment like, “Doesn’t that hurt?”. After replying “does what hurt”, she goes on with, “being that big…doesn’t it hurt your skin?”.

He’s a big dude over 300lbs. His skin is no different than your own only with damn near ZERO fat under it and a shit load of muscle.

It’s funny, but no one seems to worry about those 500lbs obese people ripping their skin.

Ha yea. I mean I just didn’t know if it was scientifically possible to hurt oneself when flexing with such high levels of muscle mass. I even wonder about it sometimes when I’m posing/flexing, not to mention when someone like Kai does it.

…and the point again is that it makes no sense to be worried about this. Skin is very elastic and if it can hold the girth of someone who is morbidly obese, it can hold some muscle.

It is like people believe the skin is so tight that you can barely move simply because they can see the muscles there. That is NOT the case.

Is your skin about to rip now? Then why would it with less body fat underneath it?

Hell, my stomach may stretch like that if I ate like he did at IHOP every meal, but not my biceps.

Skin poppin’ can happen with synthol but otherwise…lol…I mean WTF? Flexing and blowing your bicep? Over time you develop stretch marks but yeah, the skin is elastic.

Kai doing his best LL impression:

Pretty amazing how fluid he is at his beastly size!

That leg training video got me so pumped for my leg session today. Kai is really inspirational.

This thread has put Kai at the top of my list, I look forward to cheering him on at the next Mr. O!

I think I’ll eat cake more often

Seriously, the amount of progress the man has been in the short duration he’s been a pro is just astounding.

Which also shows just how good his genetics are. For someone to blow up like that AFTER turning pro is really fucking rare. Ronnie Coleman was one of the few to do something like that.

I’ve seen this comparison photo before, but every time it impresses the hell out of me.

Kai has mentioned that continued shoulder, chest, trap, triceps growth are where he is pinpointing his focus. he’s mentioned avoiding heavy trap development in the past on purpose. i think he’s giving himself the green light to blow everything up from here on out.

as much as i want him to repeat at the Arnold if he’s off due to the pursuit of the bigger picture, being 270+ on stage it will be hard to fault him. much like Ronnie i believe Kai will seize control soon and be very hard to beat.

this is his stroll down Venice beach post Arnold victory, he’s a tough guy not to like.

Admittedly I am not very knowledgeable about the elite level of bodybuilding, so I have a couple questions related to Kai.

Is he still in the early stages of his career? I see mention of him still making gains, thus leading me to think that he hasn’t even reached his peak level.

How long were Ronnie and Jay (more Ronnie) in it before they stared winning, or being at the top consistently?

Does he still have the potential/age to maintain the top spot for multiple years?

Also, any good articles on his upbringing and background would be much appreciated.

he has a dvd in the works, it’s suppose to go beyond your typical BB video. Kai has been training for 20yrs starting as a teen so he’s not new to BB just new to the mags and the contracts and the publicity.

he was natural and competed in natty shows for a while. Vic use to see him at Bev’s and other places when he was still an amateur as Vic hit the pro scene. he’s been working w/ oscar for yrs, apparently since his days of the group home(s). i’m guessing oscar was a big brother type guy.

kai got his mind into believing his own potential a few yrs back and he went from not placing to winning shows starting in 07’. he’s really blown up in the past 2 yrs or so though. very much like how ronnie was not placing and then within a two yr span was killing folks. kai’s genetics and work ethic are very similar to big ron. the way kai has transformed in the past 2-3yr is fucking nuts. it is crazy to make gains as he has after 20yr of training, knowing that the sky is the limit for big kai.

age wise Kai is like 34 i believe so he’s got the next 5+ yrs to really peak as Ronnie was hitting his stride at the ages of 34-41.

Ronnie was one of a kind GOAT imho, that said Kai is the craziest thing since and i believe you can someday mention kai w/ ronnie, arnold, dorian, haney. shit i put kai at 2-3 out of that list now and he hasn’t won yet.

additionally, kevin levrone and flex wheeler are others i like for my list of GOAT.
