Good vid!
Genes and drugs only get you so far. Knowledge and application of it is the key. Kai’s got it down.

What, has he lived under a rock in Dumbfuckville, USA all his life until now?
I wish I knew Kai personally. I think we’d have a lot to talk about. Art is the center of his life. Bodybuilding is an extension of that passion.[/quote]
why don’t you like Dave Palumbo?

I can’t speak for ID but he came off as a real ass in that video. He drew a lot of attention to the smell of piss in the elevator and other things which kai was obviously embarrassed about. He just seemed ignorant, shocked that Kai would live like this when this is reality for many many people.
palumbo did come off a bit odd in that video. i don’t think it was his intention to be a dick. from all i’ve seen and read dave is a huge kai fan, he is one of the believers that have stated if kai can get peeled, neither phil or jay can beat him. of couse i agree with this ![]()
i think dave is an odd ball but i enjoy some of his stuff on that other site we cannot mention or talk about directly. that is an older kai vid, early 09. he won his first arnold classic that year.

Well said. He is in his own little world.

True, but it’s not even that which I was expressing.
Polumbo reminds me of those people who has had very little exposure to the way “other” people live. It’s almost like he’s never set foot in a big city, or a subway, or even a run-down apartment building where anyone off the street can wander in for the night in the stairway or elevator.
Kai has his priorities straight. I personally know artists just like Kai who live in sub-par apartments because the rent is affordable… because they spend most of their money on their passion/art - whatever it is that drives them. People like this seem to have a take on life that doesn’t revolve around “status” items, toys, gadgets. Their lives revolve around a purpose.
Yeah, Polumbo DID state that he realized that there’s something special about Kai based on the interior of his living space and his monumental art. But he didn’t have to repeatedly point out the obvious “poor” conditions otherwise.
I’m always more impressed with a man who progresses and excels within a meager environment, than I am with a guys who seems to “have it all” yet can’t seem to get his shit together otherwise.
^Agree completely.
lol
I did get a “national geographic” vibe from that vid.

Just based of the video that’s a little rough for the video posted of Kai and his apartment to be mad at Dave. I believe the goal was to give Kai’s fans a sense of house he lives. There was no training or philosophy in this video. Most of his fans probably expected him to live a lifestyle fit of a celebrity now not in Brooklyn Projects. How would his fans know that he is excelling in such a meager environment if he doesn’t relay it?
@Doyle the piss smell of the NYC project elevators are that noticeable. It’s something that people who live there laugh/brag about. It’s one of those “You know you grew up in …if…” jokes. I’ve been in poor areas around the states and still haven’t smelled anything that pissy. Most people who visit that’s the first thing they notice/say.
I watched those new vids of kai training people and they are all awesome
the guy has so much knowledge and i find some of his less conventional methods like the total body light workout pretty cool actually, i might even give something similar a go and see how i like it.
i learned a lot though just watching those vids especially the first 2

I’m pretty sure that was the deal for doing the interview, Palumbo had to buy Kai’s Tilapia for the week…came out to like $90 or something
