Iv always thought that the last few weeks photos before a contest, the BB’s look incredible! I guess its the realism of how they look without the oil, tan and so forth for the stage. I know its necessary for being on stage all that stuff so its more dramatic and accentuates certain features. But when its more of a realism situation I just gasp at how striated they are at that size. Imagine walking into jay looking like that. Be mind shattering!

Dennis James is king of looking amazing 4 weeks out. You’re right, most of them look way better in the weeks before a contest before they dry out completely…and you would think some people would take the hint and quit awarding who is the most dried on stage instead of the overall look.

I was thinking the same thing. A lot of these guys look insane in their 4 weeks out and 2 weeks out pictures… then they just done look as good on stage. Being tan helps make you look better. I dont know if they just overdue something (i dont know what that something would be) or what it is because quite a few of these guys dont seem to look as good on stage (much less looking even better)
Chris Aceto called Dennis James “Mr. Olympia in a tank top” because he always looked incredible in the gym leading up the contest but couldn’t pull it together the way the judges desire.
Maybe they all should just take photos 3 days out from the show in their hotel rooms and submit that for judging lol

Didn’t dennis james retire after this last Olympia??? Sucks…
Cutler looked awesome at the 2009 and 2010 Olympias.
Out-of-this-world-ish.
This thread is silly, but entertaining. I like its housewif-ish (or rather housewi-fish?) appeal.

How could he build his physique given his tiny wrists?

This exact statement my biggest take away from watching the webcast.

One of the big things I’ve noticed about guys that look great in X weeks out pics and don’t do so hot in shows, is not necessarily they screw up bring it together, its the difference between looking at them by themselves and looking at them standing next to one of the top guys. Some guys look great standing alone.
I haven’t read any of this thread but he is definitely an overrated quarterback. So you can throw a frozen rope. Which team will he throw it to? That’s what I’d like to know.

This is such a strong point. Especially when those pre pics are in some locker room or other average space. These guys looks like monsters in that context. But like you said… next to other monsters, they seem to lose some of that beastly quality.
Oh, and I still hate Jay Cutler. Except if I was stranded on a deserted island with a few other people and Jay. If Jay mysteriously died, he’d provide a LOT of steak for the hungry group.
lol
(I’ll probably regret posting that come tomorrow).
