Anyone think this is actually going to happen? I kind of do. been following him this year so far. I dont think he would really need the size he used to have to win. But this year i suspect everyone with lose to the guy in love with the grapefruit.
What else has he ever had other than sheer size?
Why would he not need his former size to win? Or is this thread all about making another tired grapefruit joke?
I don’t care to see Cutler (or Coleman for that matter), return to the stage. We’re past their ugly old asses. Let’s keep the sport moving forward.

I know what you’re saying. It’s like when the Rolling Stones decide to do another studio album. You had a good run, just quit now.

AMEN! Stones example was perfect!
Maybe so. But i figured he would take a different approach this time. I just like comebacks and id like to see it. same thing with victor. he has been around for a while and is back at it after that b.s. with his deportation.

Maybe. But guys like Ronnie and Jay who hit their all-time peaks will have a harder time making comebacks now, especially with the new crop of contenders looking so damn good.
Vic is an exception, because I believe he never reached his full potential and could still bring on a threat.

Rest assured, Coleman is never making a comeback.
I’d like to see it happen if he could be competitive, and I don’t think he would do it unless he thought he could be.
I’m not sure how much of the “bad” parts of his physique he could reverse, but it’s my understanding that he’s been working on doing just that for a couple years now. Trying to bring a completely different Cutler package than we’re used to seeing.
I think itll be entertaining to see. as far as ronnie goes…i guess 800lbs wasnt lightweight baby. so long.
Dwarf is right tho. Cutler had reached his peak. i just figured he’d have a better chance if he turned the mass down a tad. Even tho phil is just becoming more and more of a MM. we’ll see. Im actually more concerned with poundstone winning a god damn wsm title. but that is another thread all together.
I dont think theres anyway Jay is top 3. I think he’s too focused on building his brand nowadays.

man! he used to have good calves! what happened to them? atrophied?
If you didn’t have a really strong chance of winning then why come back?
Doesn’t make sense to have a “comeback” with the best possible outcome of cracking the top 5.
He should just focus on other endeavors and not tarnish his legacy by a failed comeback.

Spot on RDS, why try and make a comeback when so unimpressive compared to the legacy you’ve left?
And are those signs of palumboism I see there ronnie?

If those pics are real and recent, they are not the signs of palumboism, they are a full blown case of palumboism^2.

They were taken from his guest pose at the Master’s O 2012. Here’s a video.
To be fair, the pictures are unflattering but the whole thing is still cringe-worthy to me; kinda like a stripper on stage at 8 months pregnant. But in the end, he seems to enjoy himself and he says he still loves bodybuilding, so respect to him.
Though I have to say, it must be questionable for business to step on stage looking like that, given he was the only poster-boy of his supplement company at the time (he signed Rhoden after the 2012 Olympia).
As for Cutler: he’s 39, has 10 years of finishing either first or second, is worth 30 million dollars (source questionable); I see his comeback as a business move wether he wins or loses. Probably won’t take home the Sandow, maybe a polite top 6. Greene, Heath, Rhoden, Dexter & Cedric (I hope to see him on stage) have much more to offer at this point in their careers.
Off-topic: Cedric is doing the Arnold Classic. Current defending champ: Branch. It’s going to be crazy.
