Thank You T-Nation!

First of, let me say. This site and the people on it are the the best around the world when it comes to training!!. Well here’s my testimony (I’m christian i like that word)…

Basically, i wasn’t really interested in deadlifts, i mean i did them sparingly just to fatigue my back muscles after a workout not realizing that deadlifts were a strength building exercises. Well i read everywhere about how effective they were for strength etc…I started doing them properley for the last 4-5 weeks and WOW. my vertical leap and overally core power has improved.

Today i pulled off a windmill dunk off the bounce (I play ball) for the first time and felt so much more hip, lower back power etc, WOW!!!, thanks to you guys!!!..I’m not sure but i think i may have gained at LEAST 3 inches onto my vertical of the run, that would put me at 34" two feet with a couple of steps…WOOOOOWWWWW…this site is the best!!!

Hey man,

Glad you’ve found the info here helpful.

By the way, you more naturally inclined to being fast and explosive you are, the more you’ll benefit from bringing up your squat and deadlift. A guy who is naturally pretty explosive who ups his lifts on squat and deadlift will be able to increase his vert a LOT.

Welcome.
