T2 Feedback Thread

Ironbabe: It was nothing more than an informed guess. Your description of your body composition was very clear, and, based on that, it sounded like you are about where my wife is when she’s at 15-16% BF. I know it’s not as low as you’d like to be, but I have no doubt whatsoever that you’ll get there someday, and in the meantime 16% is still an outstanding effort on your part in the short time frame you’ve had. Congratulations, and keep up the good work.

My temp this am was still 97.6 and thanks for the reminder Phil! My bf was 14% which for me is fat a** so I am motivated. That’s what I get for chasing the almighty dollar, lunching, and just doing maintenance lifting in the gym! Got a new car out of all the overtime, so I guess it was worth it.

My reaction to T2 so far is just a little fluttery feeling in my stomach, a bit more sweaty, and I didn’t really want my morning coffee (a long and enduring habit). Its early yet, this is only day three, so I’ll take two again today. Had one in the early am and will take one between 1-3 pm (did you guys see Brocks post?)See Ya

I’m starting more extreme than you guys, T2 wise. I’m going to use 3 pills a day unless I get some of the more severe side effects(i.e. heart palpitations). My diet, more along the lines of maintenance, will be the modified get big diet (bdywght x 10 for cal), sorry to say but it allows me to incorporate beer 1-2 days a week, the big part is i’m not going to cheat with pop, potato chips, etc. I started yesterday, and while i didn’t have any problems sleeping, when I did go to bed I was sweating more than normal, but I was dry when I woke up. I’m just fininshing an Androsol cycle and will be going immediately on to tribex and methoxy. current measurements 5’10 185lbs, and if the 3 point caliper was right i measured myself so who knows, 19% body fat. I will be training westside style, no cardio, 4 primary workouts of less than an hour, and up to 4 extra workouts up to 20 minutes. Those of you who have trained this way you sweat enough just doing this workout.

Bob - I was happy about it, it means I can lose more without sacrificing my health. Besides, I don’t look even the slightest bit fat, just can’t see my abs. I’ll be there really soon if I stick on this fat fast and T2.

Regarding the early morning body temp. readings I’ve used this test on a lot of people and from my experiences it’s quite rare for someones temp to be up around 97.8-98.2…Although this would be the ideal metabolic and fat burning temp. anything above 97.3 is ok…Anything below 97 most definitely shows evidence of low thyroid which is a lot more common then people think…I’ve heard up to 20% of the total population have these symptoms.

Day 3 T2 3x/day. I’ve gone from 11% bodyfat to 7% in three days, lost 9 pounds of fat and gained 12 pounds of muscle. Just kidding. I haven’t felt any effects at all, but this is the kind of thing you’ll have to take consistently for at least a week and a half/two weeks before you start to see the intended results.

Temp 97.8 today, I don’t know if that means anything but its up .1. Lost a pound, probably just water, but I’m not going to take more than 2 per day since I’m not one of the big guys. Overall, I feel pretty good and have not been dragging at all during workouts or life in general.

sorry, mistake in calculations, 2 weeks to get to within 50 mcgrms of maximal levels.

I just started T2 on Fat Fast, three pills a day. I haven’t felt the “side effects.” But I can tell you this. On FF, there were a few days where I didn’t take MD-6 and I did fine as far as hunger. Yesterday, however, I intentionally took T2 alone and I was much more hungrier than usual. That’s only a one-day ancedote though. Today I’m using MD-6 w/ T2 and my cravings are gone.

I’ve been taking T2 since Wed. 3xDay and haven’t felt any butterflies or tingling effects. I weighed in at 214 and 21.7% BF Wed. and just checked my BF this morning. It was 19.9% and i’m weighing in at 207. I’m also on the Fat Fast Diet which I also started on Wed. I ran out of MD6 so I had to buy EAS Beta Lean in the interum to keep me going. I’ve noticed that I don’t really get any energy swings like I use to and at night time I get muchie cravings big time with the T2. In the morning, I take T2 and Beta Lean and wait 1/2 hr before my first shake, though i’m starving to eat. I’ve noticed i’ve felt warmer for the past few days and it helps to keep my girlfriend’s feet warm at night being warmer. Must be working. By the way, does anyone know if the new version of MD6 is being shipped out already?

Low thyroid level is much more common than
people think - especially in women (often who
don’t eat enough and starve themselves -
consciously or not). BUT, low morning body
temperature does not necessarily mean low
thyroid levels. Body temp is a very crude way
to get an idea of what your thyroid is. The
only truly accurate way to tell is to get
blood work done. (Preferably TSH, T3 and T4.
TSH alone doesn’t give you a good enough
idea of what’s going on, IMHO.) For example,
my normal morning body temp is 96’F, but,
according to blood tests, my thyroid levels
are “mid-normal.” When I was on low dose T3
(dieting, not medical), my morning body temp
was 98’F, but my TSH was somewhat suppressed.
So it’s not all so simple. Just thought you
might find that helpful. I haven’t tried T2
yet, but ordering it is on my “to-do” list.

Here’s what I’ve got so far. I dieted for 4 weeks before receiving my T2 and lost 4 lbs. Really slow. I’ve taken T2 twice a day for the past week and didn’t change ONE single thing as far as training or diet. I weighed this morning. Four lbs lost. I don’t know if I reacted so quickly because my thyroid was in really bad shape or what, but if it’s something that’s going to work this well or even improve with time then I’m feeling very optimistic.

kind of an odd experience for me with T2… took my first capsule at about 3pm today on an empty stomach. had a lightheaded feeling about 45 minutes later. it wasn’t to the point of being dizzy, but it was something that made me lean back in my chair, look up at the celing and say “damn”. however, took my 2nd cap of the day at around 9pm with food and didn’t notice much of anything. that first dose was fun though. i also noticed the tingly feeling some other people have been describing.

The thread in which advice was given as to T2 timing has dropped off the back. If anyone remembers please repost the info.
Thanks
U

I remember the advice: take is immediately on waking up, and don’t eat anything else for 30-60 minutes after that. Whenever youtake it during the day, try to take it on an empty stomach. I checked a thyroid info website and they reiterated the same advice about pro-thyroid drugs, too, so Biotest gave us verifiable info on that.

A Girl - it’s nice to know someone missed me!! thanks, you made my day!!! actually, i lost my job so i dont have a T1 connection anymore (i used to post during breaks at work) i need to stay off line from home to avoid missing phone calls. i have found that the forum runs MUCH faster in the early am hours so i’ll be around much more often now! in any case, i’m starting T2 next week probably, right now i’m on 2 MD6 (old formula) 2x a day. i’m planning to goto 1 of each twice a day when i switch to the new MD6 forumla…

Brock wrote to take 1 cap in the early morning on an empty stomach for 3 to 5 days, if no results, continue the am dose and take a 2nd cap around 1-3pm, continue for 3-5 days.If no response, take third capsule about 8PMish. I wish he would comment in this thread.

Welcome back Michelle! I was hoping you were still around, there are so few of us females commenting on this forum (I suspect many more are lurking).

This is day 5 for me and I have lost 3lbs. My butt was dragging this morning, I think it is because I worked 12 hrs then did a leg workout (duh). Ocassionally I get “warm rushes” and a feeling of well being about 2 hrs after I take each T2. I am dieting and I lose weight easily, so its kinda hard to tell if the weight loss is enhanced by T2 or not just yet.

I wouldn’t take T2 on an empty stomach, or take anything that way unless medically very necessary. An empty stomach is the enemy of the individual interested in LBM and strength. Besides this, almost everything is better absorbed with food.

Bill, I found this at thyroid.about.com: “Food may delay or reduce the absorption of many drugs, including thyroid hormone. Food can often slow the process of the stomach entering, but it may also affect absorption of the drug you’re taking by binding with it, by decreasing access to absorption sites, by altering the rate at which it dissolves, or by changing the stomach’s pH balance. This is why many doctors recommend that for best absorption of your thyroid hormone, you should take it first thing the morning, on an empty stomach, one hour before eating. Many doctors recommend that for best absorption of your thyroid hormone, take it first thing the morning, on an empty stomach, and wait one hour before eating, and at least two hours before taking any vitamin with iron. However, if you cannot take it this way, consistency becomes the key. If you’re going to take your thyroid hormone with food, take it every day with food, consistently. If you’ve changed from taking it on an empty stomach, then around six to eight weeks after you start taking it with food, you should have another TSH test to ensure you’re receiving the proper amount of thyroid hormone. Taking the drug with food might inhibit absorption somewhat, but this safety check will make sure your dosage gets tweaked if it needs to be changed slightly. But again, CONSISTENCY. Don’t take it some days with food, some days without, or you’re sure to have erratic absorption, and it will be harder to regulate your TSH levels.”

Akicita, the text you quoted brought up a good point I failed to bring up.

When it comes to supplements, dosing is not that critical. You can take (or absorb) 50% more or 50% less, no big deal. So there is no tremendous importance to absorption being exactly consistent with every dose. No need to starve yourself (catabolic) for a couple of hours just to make your supplement dosing more consistent, no matter what the supplement (unless it is a really dangerous one like DNP perhaps.)

However, with medications definitely including thyroid, often consistency of dosing and absorption is very important. By taking a drug only on an empty stomach, you do get higher consistency and this is a major part of why it is often recommended for drugs (also, often simply because the clinical trials were done that way.) You don’t get BETTER absorption necessarily, but more consistent. And with thyroid replacement therapy for medical purposes, they actually do want consistency within a relatively few percent.
