T-Nation Program Apps

I’m not sure if this is the right category to post in, but I’m curious if there is any potential for T-Nation to produce a programming app?

Lots of great strength coaches and programs have been showcased here, and if possible from a licensing perspective it would be really cool to have a plug and play app where we punch in lift maxes, select a routine and programming populates for us.

Meadows, Wendler, Thibideaux, Darden and others who have graced these boards seem like they could provide a wide bank of goals and plans to choose from.

I’ve typically used a notebook for record keeping but have tried a couple of apps with success amd would like to see more, especially around complicated programming.

Not a slam at all, but I personally would get more value out of something like this from a subscription based model than slightly earlier access to published articles.

I would imagine a link to the biotest store with member discounts could be built in too, in order to purchase program recommended supps (Velocity Diet, Surge Challenge et cetera). Maybe this could even capture wider market value as many of the coaches who have posted here are widely known.

Just a thought.

The old saying, a MCB (Marble Composition Book) is the truth. Personally, I use my phone for the simple stuff, sometimes add it to a spreadsheet. I have my 531 program on a spreadsheet on my phone, pretty easy to reference.

But, I only track my main lifts - Squats, Deads, OHP and BP so it’s simple. I keep most of it on Notes right now because my stuff is really simple.

Otherwise, keep the Chinese out of your business (and they are tracking you) and just keep it on pen and paper.

Yeah when I run 5/3/1 I just use a notebook.

For some of the programs with percentages, RPR, RIR and whatever other alphabet calculations used & that vary intensity every time, incorporate rep timing execution and become a calculus equation to complete I would prefer automation.

I’ve used JuggernautAI as an example, and it is nice to just select your goal (hypertrophy/strength/both), plug in your lift maxes and just have everything populate.

I just built a spreadsheet, pretty simple. I believe there are spreadsheets available online.
