Surge Question

Hi.

I just recently bought Surge for my post workout drink. The question I have about it, is that I train at night, at around 2:00am, or 3:00am. I train in my basement, and usually after I am done training I go to bed. I was wanting to know if it would still be alright to take surge after I am done training, and then go to bed?

Thanks.

Depends on your goals really. If you’re after gaining muscle I’d do it no question.

If you’re trying to lose a few, it could depend.

If your typically using Surge PWO, then yes, I would use it.

Right now I am trying to gain some muscle, but I am also trying to lose some bodyfat also.

Actually this is my first time using Surge, or really any post workout drink.

Well, I meant that, If you bought it with the intention of using it PWO, then use it PWO no matter the time.

Focus only on one goal at a time; either muscle gain or fat loss.

If you focus on muscle gain, definetly take it, so long as you’re no going to bed within 30 minutes of lifting.

If losing fat, . . . Maybe cottage cheese with a light carb side?

As some contributors have recently pointed out, carbohydrates before bed are not necessarily a bad thing.

I find that I sleep and recover better with some carbs before bed, even I days that I don’t train.

To the OP, use Surge after training, whenever you train, unless you’re extremely carb sensitive.

Do it.

And also note that the more muscle you have the easier it gets to burn fat. So i would bulk up first, just don’t eat tooo much.

Working out right before bed can keep you awake, but drinking Surge could cause a crash that may help you sleep.

This is about recovery here. As others pointed out, I wouldn’t worry about it, and still use it post workout.

Dont worry about loosing any sleep, it wont happen.
I’ve trained at 10 pm,drank my Surge and sleep quite well, I think its like the guys said, it all depends on your recovery and how hard you trained.

x2

its a TON harder trying to obtain 2 goals at once then it is doing one at a time. and it takes less time to knock down one at a time.

i’d be concerned about not getting my PWO meal in. if you’re going to bed after your Surge, that’s a bad time to miss out on a meal. any way you can stay up for an extra hour to get your PWO meal then hit the sack?
