Supplements and Bud

Im currently in my bulking cycle, and usually during the winter I smoke mad buds to keep my appetite strong. I’m currently on a time release carb complex powder, omega 3, creatine mono, and whey protien. For some reason when I smoke buds my heart rate goes through the roof and I start to shake. Needless to say im going to stop smoking for a while, but does anyone know what supp could be causing this?

I don’t see anything wrong with the OPs supplement except for carb complex powder? Why bother. Just have some oats or spaghetti after a workout. Getting more carbs is never a problem.

I think maybe you’ve got some bad weed or something. You’re on the right track in avoiding it for a while. When you do smoke, try to keep it to just a cone or two as well. Maybe you’re simply overindulging?

But why smoke to increase your appetite, when I used to smoke, it was for one reason: to get stoned!

Well I’m sure he smokes to get high, but if you are bulking, having an enormous appetite is a nice side effect.

I would try smoking a smaller amount. That is odd that your heart rate increases so much… poor bastard.

What’s up bro. First of all it’s the weed that’s doing that to you. You’ll see when you stop smoking what will happen. My guess is you smoke a lot, and that’s your problem right there, not the supps you’re taking.

My withdrawls from smoking were increased heart rate and sweats when I consumed a full meal sober. You’ll only have to deal with that for a few days which is good. If you smoke weed to eat lots of food like I did, you’re screwed bro. You need a month for the THC to drain, then you’ll be cool.

Sorry man but I do not know what this is “release carb complex powder, omega 3, creatine mono, and whey protien,” but it sounds liek something you are taking religously instead of food.

please understand lean fooads are your friend. Shakes and supplements are just that, in addition to. Your real food is your staple. Take shakes to supplement, not replace.

It’s not the omega for sure bro. If ANYTHING it’s the creatine mono most def. Creatine mono makes you hella pumped and at times you can make you sweat. So that’s the only thing it could be with regards to your supps.

I must stress though that smoking hella dank like I did is dumb as fuck, which i’m not over yet. I still smoke but not even close to as much as I did before and it still fucks me up because i’m not used to it anymore.

Smoking weed does exactly what you said, increased heart rate. So I know it’s a combination of the creatine mono and the weed that’s giving you the shakes.

I’m talking from experience genius. I took some juiced creatine mono in the morning a few years ago when it was popular and I was shaking because I was so pumped, so pumped I was almost sweating. Mix that with some weed and there you go, EXACTLY what he described. You got any real suggestions?

First of all, creatine has no effects that you “feel.” If you felt pumped up and shaking from taking creatine then it was all mental. Second, weed increases your heart rate. Until recently I used to be an avid smoker, and it has always had that effect on me.

When you ingest something like juiced creatine you get a surge from it, I don’t give a shit what you say. I’m speaking from experience and trying to figure out what the OP was feeling.

Different people have different reactions to supplements and weed. The OP obviously had a reaction to something he took, and he listed what is was. So going by that, the only thing it could have been was the creatine/weed combo. Anything else is just speculation, and I see you haven’t suggested what could have caused it.

By saying creatine is something you can’t feel is streight bullshit. There are lots of different creatines out there and the one I took was juiced creatine which I got a HUGE surge from after ingesting. I’m taking CE2 now, the ethyl-ester based creatine and I even feel that shit shortly after I take it.

And BTW weed can do all sorts of shit to your body, not just increase your heart rate. When I stopped smoking after over 12 hard-fucken-core years I couldn’t get halfway though my meal without shaking and sweating bullets for 3 days.

Are you sure it is not that you just happened to get a different batch of weed? Some weed will make you tired, some weed will pick you up.

Just what is ‘juiced’ creatine? Stop spouting bullshit on this thread. To the OP, marijuana can increase heart rate in some people. In many it doesn’t and in most of those it does, it’s innocuous. But some who have heart problems have been known to have issues. None of the other supplements you’ve mentioned are associated at all with any of those effects.

The only reason creatine ‘might’ cause increased heart rate is because of dehydration. Dehydration can cause increased heart rate, whatever the source. And it’s easier to get dehydrated when taking creatine. You have to make sure you’re drinking enough water.

Worrying about increasing your heart rate can also increase your heart rate.
