Supplements (Again)

Its always fun to see what others are doing and hear their opinions. So, with that in mind, I would like to hear what all you old guys, like me, are doing for your supps and maybe why.

I am currently doing:

Creatine
Multi-V
E
C
Carbolin 19
Rez V
Fish Oil
Protein

As soon as I can get to the Health Store I’m gonna try some Greens +.

I’m 44.

Thanks Guys and keep on liftin!

I’m older than you (quite a bit), using most of the same except Creatine (I’m a non responder),& ResV(still studying it). Have you gotten any concrete results you attribute to the Carbolin 19?..

I’m also 44.

I use protein powder, fish oil and creatine.

I suspect anything beyond that (which is legal) is snake oil, and I’m not so sure about the creatine & fish oil either.

I’m 35 so I guess that gets me in the door. I am currently taking the following.

Flameout

BETA-7

BCAA’s

Greens Plus

Creatine from Biotest

Spike or HOT-ROX Extreme not really “cutting” but like the boost these give me for mornings and workouts.

REZ-V

Metabolic Drive both Complete and Low-Carb

Surge

I carry a supplement bag with me to work so I have my supps ready to take at intervals throughout the day.

I actually just got thru reading that Carbolin 19 thread. My results seem to be unique. I have lost close to 12 lbs. (Taking the prescribed dose.) My lifts have not suffered that much. 5-10 lbs, but I think with some work I can get that back. One person in another thread talked about being more lean and defined around the edges. I feel that way too. I think the weight loss is due to an increase in cardio. Elliptical to save my knees. I ordered another batch. I’d like to stay on this roll. I guess in the final analysis, it sure ain’t hurtin anything.

PS - I’m liking the Rez-V too. Seems to improve my mood and keep my attitude at a “man” level. (Wanting to lift, libido, good motivation…etc.)

I’d like to hear about your thoughts on the BCAA’s.

HOT-ROX makes me angry. Or as someone else put it, intensifies my already asshole nature. lol.

Now this may be a stupid question, but why the creatine AND the Beta - 7. No I havent’ read the whole Beta thread. (sorry.)

Also where do you get your greens +? How much? what do you think?

One guy in the Carbolin 19 thread said something to the effect of he didn’t feel that there was much that he could take that would be anymore beneficial than a little more hardwork. (diet included.) I think he’s probably right. I try em and see if I think it works for me.

I have been using the BCAA’s since they arrived here in the Biotest store and I will continue to use them. I am not one who gets all scientific writing down minute details of my body comp or workouts.

I will read up on something and if the info sounds good to me I will use it and judge from my gains. I remember reading good things about aminos since I started lifting in the mid nineties and have always wanted to try them, but didn’t really find them at the sup stores I went to. Now as you can see I pretty much exclusively shop at T-Nation and now that they are offered it was a no brainer.

Getting back to not tracking data, but rather just going by my strength, my muscle mass, and getting leaner, that’s what I make a judgement from. I have continued to increase my lifts you can check out my blog to see the progress there. I look like I lift at 220 with about 14 percent bodyfat and slowly continue to drop fat while getting bigger in muscle mass and density.

I feel the BCAA’s used pre, during, and post, workout as well as through the day and first thing in the morning and last thing when going to bed have contributed to these gains I am making.

On BETA-7 and Creatine my reading is that they give a synergistic effect, they compliment each other. I will get back to you in a month on this combo.

I currently get my Greens Plus at a Vitamin Shoppe, but when Biotest makes em I will buy them here. I have been adding one table spoon in my morning shake everyday for the past nine or so months and I also believe in the literature on them and how they help maintain PH balance which is important for us lifters.

Thanks for the reply. I’m the same way. More feeling than actual stats.

I’ll be interested in you BCAA results. I actually went and read the info on that and the Beta-7 here a few minutes ago. I’d like to try them both, but are a little cost prohibitive right now. Maybe after the next Carbolin 19 cycle I’ll try one or the other and see what happens. Keep in touch.

Greens+ is the best goddamn invention. I’ve never felt so much natural energy from a supplement. My wife even says my mood is better. Weird.

42 years old, 180 +/-, 5?-9?:

BCAA’s, 3x day

Fish oil, 3x day

Carbolin 19, 3 tabs morning/3 tabs 6 hrs later (on non Alpha Male days)

currently cycling Alpha Male (currently off for 2 weeks)

Surge

Whey Protein

Just purchased Rez-V

Like a lot of guys, I go simply by how my body looks in the mirror. I just started the above combo about a month ago, which is when I got back into the gym after a 4 month hiatus. I posted my photos at my profile page to keep track. I plan on taking follow up pic’s end of August. I think the combination above has given me an edge. At some point I plan on adding creatine and Beta-7, most likely when I begin to cut. Right now I?m trying to add mass.

My libido is defiantly increased. Even though I?ve upped my calories, my body fat seems stabilized but I have added mass and energy level is higher.

Even though I qualify for this age bracket, for some reason reading about all the pills we’re popping makes me feel like we’re taking an inventory at an old folks home… then again, it seems that a majority of threads lately are started by 17 years olds.

Anyhow;
Protein
Red Bands
Rez-V
Creatine
Surge
Fish oil
TRIBEX
Alpha Male
Spike

  • The results? Biotest Australia are opening another branch, my orders cover the wages bill.

hey guy’s how are ya. its good to hear different ideals about certain supp that promote strength and well being.im like stuck. i would like a supp that can put on some mass ie. a good prohormone. and increase strength as well as feeling and lookin good boyyy.

anyway. it also include training hard, eating right and proper rest.in which i do anyway.i supp with methyl alpha by legeal gear and dhea. any suggestion for something better. is 17hd good. halo-50 suck! help me out!. big daddy reg. be safe yall

oh inaddition to supp. i also take fish oil and multi vit. zinc, liver tabs. big daddy reg.

17 hd is crap. halo is good for a weak steroid. methyl masterdrol is the same as superdrol and thats a good steroid also. make sure you have proper pct for these things clomid and adex

I’m taking calcium, magnesium, copper, B5, vitamin D, and RNA/DNA. I follow a low potassium/fructose, moderate carbohydrate, and high fat/protein/purine diet. I also take a whey powder protein supplement.

It helps slow down my overactive metabolism via slowing down thyroid and cortisol production. It also increases estrogen/testosterone output, and norepinephrine/dopamine, which I am lacking.

I was taking test injections a couple months ago but found it was skewing my metabolism further out of wack as time went by. It ended up not being what I needed. I also found my sexual function declined oddly enough no matter how much I manipulated estradiol(high/low) concurrently with the test.

I’m technically not 35, although hitting 30 in october, but I enjoy the discussion on this board so I thought I’d chime in. Hope you old fogies don’t mind.
