Give me some tips on how to get rid of them.
I’m not interested in telling me just to be OK with them, or to be proud of them. I’m proud of getting stronger, not ugly marks. Bottom line is they look like shit.
Thanks for helping.

I’ve heard Retin-A and Cocoa Butter mentioned as stretch mark treatments, but have also heard they are most effective when the marks are forming vs. when they are pronounced.
try the search button, this has been discussed MANY OF TIMES. Or just deal with it you hillbilly. be proud of them.
Lol not much you can do if you are gaining too quick then yeah you’re skin is going to stretch… You can try cocoa butter and the such but ultimately to some degree it will always be there

Well, there is one question that needs to be asked before congratulations are in order.
Can you still see your dick?
WIthout the aid of a mirror.
I’m in the same boat after gaining 30lbs. I’d like to be proud, but god damn is it ugly. I’ve done some searching, and it seems there isn’t anything OTC that’s really effective. Cocoa butter seems to be very hit-and-miss, and it’s more supported anecdotally than by science. It’s best to try and treat stretch marks as soon as you start noticing them.
I asked a pharmacist about OTC products that might work, and she recommended Bio-Oil. It has Retinol, which supposedly aids in collagen and elastin repair, and Vitamin E, which aids in the healing process of the skin. So far, it seems to be helping my stretch marks, as they are looking softer and duller. That said, this is likely aided by the fact that I started cutting, preventing the stretch marks from being exacerbated at least. Of note, I noticed that new stretch marks that were forming largely regressed and disappeared entirely.
The biggest problem is that pretty much all of these treatments work for a significant minority, but not the majority. Also, these products take time to work, so by the time you’ve figured out a product doesn’t work for you, you’re already largely out of the window of time that you can act on it. Best advice: do some research and find a product or treatment that you think will work best for you and is within your price range. Do not expect miracles. You will more likely see minor reductions rather than major changes, and your chosen treatment will more likely fail than succeed in most cases. Best of luck.

Well, in that case, awesome, you seem to have made gains that are impossible according to some people.
Seems like you vindicated the old school ways of “lifting da shit” and “eating like a horse”.

Have you guys that care about stretch marks ever had girls like complain about them or anything?

Be okay with them or be proud of them.
There is no miracle cure for stretch marks, including cocoa butter, but I think there is a link with how often you moisturise your skin. If you lotion up every day or every other day, your skin is way more likely to handle elasticity issues easier, at least in my experience. Don’t let your skin dry out if you’re gaining or losing very fast.

What ever some people you are talking to, you need to stop.
I know my July weight because I weighed a dog and needed to know.
I started training in November of 2011 and weighed 190. That was 14 months ago. 35 pounds over 14 months isn’t impossible.
I ate fairly clean and worked really hard in the gym. No steroids.
I was able to fade my stretch marks with vitamin e. I would take a capsule and prick it with a pin then take the contents and smooth them over the stretch marks. It took a while but it seemed to help fade them.

They fade on their own.

They are usually focused on other things.
To tell the truth…now the you mention it this has never happened. I have never even heard a girl talk about any other guy’s stretch marks either.
I think that is because women know they are prone to them so why focus on us with that?

Precisely my point! I’ve never had a lady even remark on them, so non issue as far as I’m concerned.

I hear women talk about men’s asses, shoulders, chest, arms and face in majority.
Any woman even close to see your stretch marks is probably already past the issue.
This seems to only worry the newbs lately. I thought most guys knew that you don’t usually get big without them. Even the guys they think don’t have them in magazines probably do up close.
Leave it to T-Nation to attract guys who focus on what women don’t care about. This is the only place I see guys complaining because their ass is too big and they can’t find pants that fit because they look normal.

yeah! What’s up with that? Why do guys fear the ass so much?

What I don’t get about this post, is that judging by everything you’re NOT interested in hearing, you’ve already read previous threads about stretch marks and somehow thought the readers of T-Nation would NOW be able to offer some different, and obviously much better solutions to this horrible problem of yours that the previous readers of T-Nation (aka, the same people) were not able to offer.
