Stretch Marks

Who said anything about women? While I do want to look attractive to women, I work out for myself. I enjoy being strong and I like not feeling like shit when I look in the mirror. Stretch marks aren’t ruining my life, but if there are ways to prevent them or cut down on them, I would like to do that.

I’m not interested in telling me just to be OK with them, or to be proud of them. I’m proud of getting stronger, not ugly marks. Bottom line is they look like shit.

Thanks for helping.[/quote]

What I don’t get about this post, is that judging by everything you’re NOT interested in hearing, you’ve already read previous threads about stretch marks and somehow thought the readers of T-Nation would NOW be able to offer some different, and obviously much better solutions to this horrible problem of yours that the previous readers of T-Nation (aka, the same people) were not able to offer.

I don’t even know why they allow new threads to be made. They might as well just shut the board down. Every time there is a thread made people say some smart ass comment about the search engine. A lot of the threads are old, maybe a new cream has came out since 2004. Maybe I don’t won’t to search trough 25 threads looking. You knew what this thread was going to be about before you clicked on it, no one made you come in this thread. If you don’t like it then go on to another thread.

But…one of these threads comes up damn near every month.

This is a weight lifting forum. Anyone worth their shit as far as advice already knows the deal with stretch marks and how NO, you will not be getting rid of them with freaking cocoa butter.

If you lift weights and try to get swole, accept the damn stretch marks…or quit lifting.

Yes, some of us do get tired of seeing the same threads all of the time…because it means the guy asking hasn’t even bothered to look around first.

This ain’t some rare topic. Has anyone asked about pants that fit this week yet?

Yes, there is a way. STOP GROWING.

There.

Now that you know what you have to do to stop them, do you plan on doing that?

How about you stop coming here if it’s just the same shit every week that annoys you? Just because there is a thread doesn’t mean you have to read it. Who are you really mad at? Yourself?, mom?,dad?

The Kardashians.

OP I have vitamin E oil but still have been too lazy to use it regularly. They go away with time. Some of my stretch marks from years ago are 100% gone, while some are just barely noticeable.

Do you also want us to direct you to the pickles and ice cream, the heating pad and the Midol?

lulz

I used to weigh 170-175, I now weigh 220 or thereabouts without foot in me, no stretch marks and I’ve only been lifting 3 years.

Are some people more prone to them?

Ive always looked after myself and I have been flexible for a long while before weight training.

Gained 16kg in 13 months, my upper arms and the space between my pec minor and anterior delt are covered in them. I know you said you didn’t want to hear this kind of answer but Ill just say that no one (guys or girls) has actually said they look bad, or reacted in a bad way.

It might be like one of those things girls think is aesthetically unacceptable but no guy has ever actually thought of, let alone given a shit about. Just a suggestion.
