Strained Rectus Femoris

Does anyone have any suggestions for a pulled Rectus Femoris ? I strained it while sprinting.

I replied in the other thread man. Hope it helps.

Which thread, you mean Threadkiller ?

Not to be a dick, but I thought, wow has nobody on this forum ever strained their quad and asked about it before? But guess what, when I used the search funtion for “strained quad” over a thousand hits came back, probably plent of redundancies, but heres a pretty specific example

It probably would have been easier to spoonfeed you the answer you want, but seriously, try the search feature, you could learn a lot

Only slightly awesome, since the thread you referenced was for a pulled hamstring.

Yeah, my bad. Next time I’ll do more research for you.

I don’t know if I actually “tore” it, but it hurt really fucking bad. Could have just been a strain, but the mechanism of injury was the same. Bottom line: use it as an opportunity to bring up something else. Crush your hamstrings or back or chest or arms.

My girlfriend just went through this!! How did we fix it? HAMMER the posterior chain! Deadlifts, rack pulls, RDL, cable pull throughs, glute bridges will all help. Avoid anything that hurts but focus on the hip dominant posterior chain exercises! Good Luck
