Stop E-Warriors!

Hmmm… I’ve noticed that kind of attitude in many natties.

They think bulking only works if you’re on, try to stay fairly lean and thus we have so many natties looking like beginners/early intermediates on stage…

This starts a vicious circle of people thinking that 180 lbs at 5’11 or so is all you can naturally achieve (contest shape), that you shouldn’t bother bulking, that you need all kinds of mega-complicated programs and whatnot…

I seem to gain muscular weight much quicker when staying at a higher bodyfat percentage
(say, 16-20), my joints hurt less when training (I think Dante made a comment on that some time ago, too, but don’t take my word for it), etc…

Perhaps the body, is more “at ease” when fat stores aren’t depleted, and will then allow more muscle to be built/ built faster ?
Just a theory, and I know that some have gone through different experiences, but since there are no appropriate studies available for this… (big emphasis on “appropriate”)

I guess this has been brought up before, and english is not my first language, so I apologize in advance.

One long-winded first post huh…[/quote]

Your first post was more on point than most here have been for years.

I agree, my body has been the same way and I notice more gains in muscle mass at a higher body fat percentage.

Experience and results are king in bodybuilding, not theory.

It’s funny that the people say stuff like this are generally the ones who like to claim the superiority of clean and lean bulking.

Now I’ve never juiced, so take this for it’s worth, but I would think clean, lean bulks would work better for steroids users and naturals would gain better with a true bulk making body fat a secondary issue.

It seems to me these people that like “natural bodybuilding” sure like to encourage a bulking method that would work best in conjunction with steroids. While the better method of bulking for naturals is shit on by them.

The reason? They can then claim that the entire reason they can never build arms over 17-18" is strictly because they are “natural”…and not because they won’t eat enough to make that kind of progress because they are more concerned about abs.

Yeah well, I guess the whole long-term aspect is one of the biggest issues to overcome for many…
You know, looking smooth for 4+ years (depending on genes and how well you maximize training, nutrition, rest etc) and then dieting away the fat that was needed for gaining muscle at an accelerated pace,
people just want to look lean all the time…

And I feel kinda dumb for repeating what has been said a myriad of times already, but what can ya do… this topic has been dissected into atoms over the years.

Well, thinking back to how freaking difficult it was for me to eat enough… can’t blame the average person now, can we?

Amazing how none of them will actually try it out, also amazing how everybody thinks that they’re at the bottom of the gene pool in regards to muscle building.

I mean, who’s in the middle position ?

This forum has how many users?
One would think that Gifted (dunno how he spelled his nick) and co would not be the only potential pro material here among that many people?
You’ll never find out whether you’re the next big ron if you don’t have at it for a few years…

Concerning the Melvin Anthony picture, dude, are people blind? That guy doesn’t look any worse than the 70’s/80’s guys imo… In fact I had no Idea that he was that aesthetic(sp?)

He isn’t the only one. That is why I flip every time someone mentions “gh guts” and then pulls out some name of someone who hasn’t won a contest in 8 years or of someone retired.

Kai Greene isn’t looking bad either.

There are too many positives in the top guys right now for people to still be harping on negatives.

I first saw pics of Greene in Flex or MD (or Ironman?) two years or so ago (not sure, he wasn’t anywhere close to what he looks like today) and didn’t like them much… (don’t know why, prolly just crappy pics)

Then I watched some posing vids of him on youtube and saw some recent images… damn, he sure turned out great!

(I would have preferred not seeing the infamous fruit-humping pic though)

Eh… did you notice that we’re having a conversation about pro bbing on T-Nation… who would have thought that to be possible in this day and age ;D

I love how you try and act hard and have the gayest avatar. I also like how you call out everybody else as skinny even though you wont ever give your stats or a picture.

I almost forgot to mention how you call everybody “fucking retards” yet you can’t even find the shift key on your keyboard.

How do you make an “O” out of “@”?

This thread was on the most popular pages… I was tired, I chuckled, I posted.

This pretty much sums up this thread.
