IMO I would not do them. I think you can get a better looking physique without any drug, I also think that not only is it “cheating” it robs you the benefit of actually learning how to train. If you want to be mentally weak then go right ahead, people who resort to a quick win like that just don’t have the heart to put in the hard work. This is my opinion obviously so don’t take it to heart…
Steroids are to training, as weed is to music. If you like to train, steroids will make training so much better for you, and make your efforts more fruitful.
Just like if you LOVE music, smoking some weed will make it that much better for you.

In the same way, steroids will cover up for shitty exercise selection or diet (to an extent)…things you would never do as a natural.

I think he meant that it’s possible to improve your physique with or without drugs, not that you can get a better physique without drugs than with them.

If there are 3,000,000-15,000,000 people in the US on roids, why don’t I see them IRL?

I don’t know if it was a sarcastic question? Think it was based on the photo but that picture explains it perfectly. Most the guys on roids at my gym are big but unimpressive. They can help, but are far from magic.

No, man! You KNOW it’s the creatine that goes in your socks.
Wait… I see what you did there, DD.

Never understood how your physique is automatically considered less than and that you are weak minded. Very odd thinking.

Open question for everyone in this thread
When do you feel it is “right” or “ok” for someone to start using? How do you judge this?
You should be able to gain ~20-30lbs of solid mass with diet and training naturally first. That wouldn’t be too difficult and would prove that you’re not a complete egit ;)
So you need to prove to others that you deserve to use steroids in order to use them?
Nah it more-so just prevents you from sh*ting good money down the toilet because you never ate enough, or lifted half decently.
Most people don’t even class their first 2-3 years of lifting as “training” (more like just getting their feet on the ground, especially as a teenager when the lure of steroids is high)
So when you have both your training and diet in check and know you can make good progress on it then?
Why wait to have reached maximum genetic potential (such a vague concept) then if you have this all figured after 2years of lifting and feel you know your body well enough?
I don’t think waiting a couple of years is asking much, not for the large majority who may just screw it up rushing into it.
Guess I’m speaking from personal experience here since when I was just getting into lifting at 17 years old steroids really appealed to me (but it was more-so driven by a lack of knowledge and insecurity than anything else). The more I learned about training the more I realised they weren’t for me, and I’m glad I waited.
I don’t think that waiting till your genetic potential is reached is necessary (that takes years and years), but at least wait till you know more and have experienced some decent natural gains first. Maybe the exception is for some, but that’s the same with everyone that first starts lifting, some stay for good, others burn out or get bored (it would be silly for those people to have to deal with hormonal issues on top of quitting bodybuilding).
Would using steroids be an issue if they were naturally occurring? Like normal supplements?
If your answer to this is no, then you’re a hypocrite, since testosterone is a naturally occurring substance.
If your answer to this is yes, then you better not be using creatine or any other supplements to make “natural” gains because they are naturally occurring substances too.
And if you say “well you don’t need to inject creatine” yeah you’re right, but it will be more effective if you do, just a little pointless since you could get a similar effect from oral dosing. Testosterone is orally bioavailable just not very much so it makes dosing an issue.
At the end of the day we draw the lines in our own minds. Where you decide to cross is entirely up to you and what anyone else has to say about it should mean FUCK ALL to you and should play no part in your decision.
^in line with that I do find it amusing that “natural” lifters use all manner of synthetic supplements and other things that have been engineered in a lab, just like testosterone.
Testosterone is synthesized from potatoes. That’s pretty natural!
The OP is a pussy btw.

You are 5’9, 211 lbs and 24% bf, and have been training for 7 years?
Yeah, sounds like you’ve “learned how to train” and sure have an awesome natural physique…
I bet you can almost see a 2 pack!
Everyone does what they want, I do not personally use them and I doubt 90% of the normal “dedicated gym” guys need them. They’re probably not any more dangerous than 99% of all bullshit your doctor will prescribe you, but they need to be regulated to make sure what you’re getting IS what you’re getting.
…if I was in some sort of a competitive sport or trying to get a scholarship, I’d definitely be on them because you know everyone else is.
