Steroids: Why or Why Not?

Any hormone with androgenic activity will cause follicule miniaturization, to some extent or the other
Through what process? Do you have any evidence to back this up?
If by evidence you mean clinical controlled studies, no, I couldn’t produce any from a quick Google search

A quick Google search, however, will also reveal lots of anecdotal reports of people losing alot of hair from running non DHT-reducing compounds solo. This has also been my personal experience, for what it’s worth.

Test + propecia or avodart is probably the most hair friendly way that I know of, but you’ll still have some supraphysiological DHT running around

Bottom line, I believe that if you have a genetic predisposition to androgenic alopecia, higher exposure to androgens of any kind will accelerate it, and that it’s hard or impossible for someone with a predisposition to keep all his hair if he wants to cycle

Androgens?

There are plenty of steroids that can’t convert to DHT (the only thing that propecia prevents) and will cause massive balding
Huh?

By that logic everyone in the IFBB should be bald.
What logic?

Some people are bald and some people aren’t… Some IFBB pros are bald and some aren’t…

To clarify on what I said… I don’t mean that balding is an inevitable truth for everyone… Shit, some guys can run everything they can afford and die with a full head of hair

But if you’re prone to it… Good luck running AAS without varying degrees of hair loss

Propecia only works with Test so that leaves everything else out
I know plenty of guys that are predisposed to MPB and have no issues with hairloss while running GH, slin, and test cocktails while on finna. I started shedding on my first cycle of teste and got propecia for my next cycle (TnT) and saw no shedding while on.
GH and Slin are not androgens

Nice to know that you had luck with Test and Fin… I still haven’t cycled again ever since I got on it

^^exactlly… Who cares?

If you’re already prone to MPB then why would you care if you had “varying degrees of hair loss”? You already know its gonna fall out anyway.

Huh? What do you think actually causes the hair loss?
Hairloss is a mystery…some people will shed on Deca or EQ for christ’s sake. If you are predisposed and are really worried about hairloss, don’t cycle. Sure, some compounds are worse for this than others, but they will all speed it up.

As for the other comment, just about all IFBB pros are bald or thinning a whole bunch. Even the ones with hair–Kuklo the Kid, Dennis Wolf, Dusty Hanshaw–are majorly thinning near the front of their head.

Yeah, look at the shining head of Kai L. Greene. lol

Agreed to some degree. I just misinterpreted what want2getlean had posted I guess. Useless arguement firing up here because we are all on the same page to some degree.

I think a lot of the guys that you listed just has to do with getting old. I don’t know many guys in their 30s who aren’t thinning or receding up front.

mpb affects everyone differently of course. Some are prone, some are not… look at your family members to get an idea.

ive run both tren and masteron at 1 gram apiece, no shedding. I am lucky

I would like to hear the opinions and experiences of some older steroid users.

Anyone here over 40 with this experience?

If it makes you feel any better, my dad is 56 and has been on HRT for about 2 years now. He’s said it’s completely changed his life. He looks years younger, dropped a good bit of fat and is in damn good shape now.

His hairline is receding a bunch too…that ponytail of his just distracts from it.

And again, some people are not susceptible to it at all. Like Mr. Walkway. I just shed 20 hairs reading his post. A gram of masteron?? Your prostate must’ve been the size of a tennis ball

Yup, he said he feels like he’s in his 20’s again. My mom is on HRT too, she says the same thing.
