Steroids: Why or Why Not?

For me it was a matter of (ofcourse) weighing the pros and cons.

At the end of the day, the gym is my life. Ill get respect for that around here but in real life if I say that I get buried in flak. I just love training so damn much. Love getting stronger, bigger, more agile etc. I had talked to many local pros who used and they all said the same thing:

“Forget all this nonsense you hear about side effects like small nuts, hair loss, dry joints. These are preventable. What you need to know is that from the first shot comes a curse. That for the rest of your career you are always going to be hungry for more and will need to be on this stuff for the rest of your bodybuilding life” Took the plunge at 19 (so young I know) and never looked back. Loving everyday of this. I relish every gym session now and train harder in one session then I ever did in my entire time spent training naturally.

females use their parent hormone in the form of birth control so that they may carelessly fornicate without fear of reproducing.

males use their parent hormone in the form of steroids (testosterone and derivatives thereof) to build muscle, increase performance, and imrpove quality of life.

when logic is applied, it becomes painfully obvious who (if either party) should be judged.

Yeah but to be fair a lot of males use steroids to fornicate more frequently

but that is not the sole purpose of steroids, the sole purpose of birth control, as the name implies… is to “control” birth. Now, I realize that it helps with other minor issues, but that is not why it is taken generally speaking.

my female friends don’t know i use steroids, but they are very quick to condemn steroid users despite the fact they all use birth control. Then again, logic is the natural enemy of the female.

It is illegal to both buy or sell steroids in the UK, However ‘posession’ of a quantity considered reasonable for ‘personal use’ is not illegal. Funny i know considering you’d have had to have bought them at some point but thats how it is. lol

sounds like one of those appeasement laws

^^

All a bit of a grey area it seems…aparently it is perfectly legal to buy steroids abroad and bring them into the UK for your own personal use, although the nice man at customs with the rubber gloves may have his own interpretation of what you can bring home from Bangkok.

I have to say that the slightly illegal (“slightly” illegal ?..like “slightly” pregnant? ) act of buying substances from a source, either on-line or down the gym, causes me no loss of sleep at all.

Bottom line here in the Uk is, you aint going to get busted for using.

Slagged off maybe, but not busted.

AND we’ve got this great weather !! What a cool place !

Crash.

I don’t know about you… but I will never complain about a lady choosing to utilize her “parent hormone” for hapless practice of reproduction. As they say, practice makes perfect, so the more you practice reproduction, the better chance of achieveing perfection when the time finally arrives.

I also don’t know many women that complain about guys who use - so long as it isn’t excessive.

well i do know many women who would complain, and that post was directed at them and those who believe as they do

How is the hair loss preventable?

Propecia only works with Test so that leaves everything else out

Huh? What do you think actually causes the hair loss?

Androgens?

There are plenty of steroids that can’t convert to DHT (the only thing that propecia prevents) and will cause massive balding

Unless you guys are implying that the only hormone that causes hair loss is DHT, I don’t really see what you’re getting at

Any hormone with androgenic activity will cause follicule miniaturization, to some extent or the other

[quote]want2getlean wrote:

Through what process? Do you have any evidence to back this up?

[quote]want2getlean wrote:

I know plenty of guys that are predisposed to MPB and have no issues with hairloss while running GH, slin, and test cocktails while on finna. I started shedding on my first cycle of teste and got propecia for my next cycle (TnT) and saw no shedding while on.

Huh?

By that logic everyone in the IFBB should be bald.
