Hi folks! The club is back from a 6 days trip to the canadian IPF nationals. I did not compete due to injury(forearms). But the two others kicked serious ass. Joel Boulianne 100 kg junior won gold with a national records on the bench press. He totaled 777.5 kilos and benched 235 in the full meet. He tied his 90 kg records on sunday at 100 kg this year…but raw!!! . Yves Brousseau won gold at 67.5 kilos totaled 545 kilos and benched national records too , 161 kilos on sunday. Both were juniors. I handled both and my forearms are so fucking sore. Pictures and videos to follow. Stay tuned

I saw most of Joel’s benching and deadlifting, your boy likes to yell! He definitely has a good showmanship streak in him aside from being strong! He was very impressive.

I can almost smell the testosterone while reading this thread. Awesome. The videos are great too.

You mention sledding with your dog. Do you compete in weight pulling with him? I have a working bred Belgian Malinois but I love the bully breeds too.

Yeaa its an all natural federation, they test everyone pretty legitamately, so its a pretty level playing field…

Ahhh a girl is posting on the thread , now the test levels are up:) I only let him pull a 5 pounds barbell during his entire walk, he’s only 12 months. But i train his speed/eplosiveness with long jump, high jump. I will train him for weight pulling for sure. i’ll bring him on our sled days. I will tape him climbing a 13 feets wall, it’s really impressive!

Okay tonight i did some benching(raw, anyway with such sissy numbers) 3 boards close grip
1x135x4
1x225x5
1x315x5
1x365x4
1x225x28

did tri’s extension, 8 sets of pull up , face pull

After this we went outside for some sled work…I cramped in both of my calves, i nearly puked my ass off, haha!

As promised here is some pics of the meet. Videos are on the way , loading stuff here is a long road…

Myself and Yves brousseau, giving him some cues

Myself and pogo( a mofo barbell member helping Yves)

Yves squattin!

Joel pullin his way to the top

Joel’s medal ceremony

Yves medal

Pain is temporary, Pride is forever!

I can’t wait to see the video. I’ll post some pics of my Mal doing some cool stuff too. He’ll do anything to ‘kill’ the toy. He dives down 5’ in my pool to get it. He’s climbed up a tree, sniffs it out etc. Awesome drive in him, good instincts and would never hurt a child. He knows the difference between adults and kids. They’re really awesome high energy dogs but a lot of maintenance. I wanted to train to compete in ringsport but the nearest club is a bit too far. For anyone wondering it’s a protection and obedience sport, not fighting.

At once we get enough pics and what not we are going to create it, when we do ill be sure to let you guys knoww

Jonathon sucks,
you and your mofos are kings among men. This has to be the BEST thread on this entire site period. When is the next time you guys gonna go compete, since your coming off this big achievement

Wow, i’m glad you enjoy the thread! It’s pleasure for me to show you how our guys bust their asses, the deserve respect, Not all kid devotes their life to achieve goals. As for competition , there’s a cool meet in Ottawa( 9 hours ride again) with great lifters. This will be our biggest presence at a meet, 6 of our members will compete if all goes well.
