That’s the key. Stay consistent with the time you’re taking between reps and there isn’t an issue. What you’re describing sounds more to me like a short rest-pause than a continuous set, but if that’s what you do every time it doesn’t really matter what label you attach to it. I also like dead-stop deadlifts more than touch-and-go, but I never stand up between reps. It’s my way of making myself believe that it’s similar to a bench or squat insofar as what Stormthebeach described.
