Question…
Are we supposed to post our MP workouts here? Or only when we move our max?
I think we should post
1)video of when we move our max and
2)trash talk.
Yup. Especially #2.

I can do #1, but I suck at trash talk. I’ll work on it.

Care to give an example? Anyone??

Your squat is pretty good…

For a 148 lb Chinese weightlifter.

Lol…that works. And it would be funnier if it weren’t true

Never really tried to max this exercise, but if the 5/3/1 calculation is close, mine is 205. (140x14)

So 250 is probably a tad unattainable for the immediate future, but not saying I won’t try. >:-)

300…it’d be sad if I got my standing press higher than my laying down one. haha
Ah…but group two has decided to make 225# the goal, instead of 250#.
I am willing to bet that a new goal will be set as soon as someone hits 225#.

For that matter, I bet that 315# will be the new goal, as soon as someone hits 300#.
Big Babies

225 bunch of…

i see somebody has the trash talk workin’

Apparently a very cute and fashion-minded kitten.

This…

LoL!

Not real sure if I approve of trash talking but I can keep my old, feeble, oft wounded ass in a holding pattern at 295# while the rest of the herd of lame buffarillos catch up. Course I’m really, really old so the herd better hurry up.

I’m not much on trash talk either, as a rule. As long as everyone knows it’s just fun, I can play along. Hell, we can start a bench press race next time and everyone can pick on me.

Just to make things fair, Harry, you should probably hold at 295# until the rest of us get 310#. Then we can start the race to 315#.

Harry’s not much of a trash talker. Uh, right. Skip, you just got a your first schooling in trash talking, southern style.

Just to be clear, we are talking the standing overhead press, not bodyweight or the weight of said body parts.
See rule number 7.

Sir, are you refering to my most petite derriere? Do not force me to use both hands for this lift.

Indeed, I did. And it went right over my head. Might have helped had I noticed the word “lame”.

Harry, by the time we get to 295#, you’ll likely need someone to help you out of bed, so you can perform the lift.

Rule #10: No walkers!

But you can use both hands…

Would it be grounds for disqualification to use someone else’s hands?

…just checking for reference.
