My idea was no clean needed.But no leg drive and no standing incline press.But ill let every one else fight over the rules.
I vote the weight should be cleaned. Knees locked and no layback. Video proof, of course.

Harry - This whole thing started with bulldog and I agreeing to “race” to 300#. (Military Press, not body weight) It kind of snowballed from there. I think the rules that he and I are adhering to are…
- No leg drive (military press, not push press)
- No excessive lean (you can lean to clear your face and all, but no standing incline press)
- No clean necessary. The current condition of my back wouldn’t allow it anyway.
- Staggered foot placement is allowed, if desired.
- Video proof, as Tony pointed out.
- Dipping is allowed, but only Copenhagen, Skoal, Kodiak, Red River or Longhorn.
I’ll bring the funny faces.
Steve - Hell! If your MP is, at the least, 245# (I bet it is higher), you should jump in the race to 300#.

Actually, I don’t know if there is a “Red River”. All I could remember is there is one that starts with “Red”. Must be the flavor you posted. Is there a Silver Creek? Maybe I got Red and Creek in my head and it morphed into Red River.

Also, no mechanical assistance. No tag team (spotter with hands on the bar or elbows) pressing. And absolutely no use of nanotechnology to increase muscular output.
Use of Gamma radiation for enhancement permitted, as long as a) you survive the application and b) it is accompanied by green skin…for confirmation.

Never really tried to max this exercise, but if the 5/3/1 calculation is close, mine is 205. (140x14)
So 250 is probably a tad unattainable for the immediate future, but not saying I won’t try. >:-)
300…it’d be sad if I got my standing press higher than my laying down one. haha

Ah…but group two has decided to make 225# the goal, instead of 250#.
I am willing to bet that a new goal will be set as soon as someone hits 225#.
For that matter, I bet that 315# will be the new goal, as soon as someone hits 300#.
