By the way good job.

Lol…thanks, Bulldog. Great song, btw.

It did take me 6 months to add those 5#, though. So, at this rate, I should hit 300# around May of 2013.

Great job on that 280 man, that is pretty cool. It took me 12 months to get 5lbs, so your making progress twice as fast as me… I’m looking at hitting 300 at this rate in 2018, so I’d trade with you anyday!

Thanks, jerkwad. Hopefully we will both pick up the pace a bit. I’d like to get there before I’m dead.

Holy cow! Has it actually been a year since this log was posted in??

Anyway, good day today. Two PRs…

260x4 - PR +2 Reps
290x1 - PR +10#

260x4

290x1

So damned close.

I am not sure that I am even following a program. I didn’t MP for a good while. Then I started back and abandoned bench. I have been playing it by ear, every workout, and feel stronger than I ever have. Go figure.

No video but…

270x3 for a 2 rep PR

Not sure why my comment didn’t show in my last post but very strong work Strick-300 is yours!

Thanks DBasler. I will get it eventually. I just need to be patient and not push myself into another valley. It can take months to pull out of it…for me.

I hear you. Been there many times before more so with benchng for me- go up for a couple of months and feel like it won’t ever end then the next week can’t match the numbers and head into the valley for a while.

I’m guessing as easy as the 290 looked and the fact that you were repping 260 you aren’t going to have that problem. Looking forward to watching the 300 video soon.

I hope that it does come soon. I just started a low carb diet. Things might get bumpy quickly.

Throw some push presses with controlled negs in there and I bet you’ll blast through that little sticking point. You’re a vanishingly small distance away from 300.

DCA!! That’s a very good idea, Tony. I have been considering what to do once I hit a wall. I am afraid to muck with what is working right now. But it always falls off for a period.
PP with negatives might really help break through a plateau or start the climb out of a valley.

290 x1 is fantastic, if you account for the heavier Oklahoma gravity it’s like 310 here in New York, subsequently I am congratulating you for winning.

Is it good enough???

300x1 - PR +10#

Is it strict enough to count??

Yep…(wimper)
