Since the dead squat has a similar movement pattern to the squat, but I’m able to consistently move more weight with it, I was wondering why its not a substitute for someone focusing on compound lifts for mass. Is it the little bit of extra hip depth the squat gets you? Obviously I’m not very experienced with the trap bar but it seems to offer a lot of bang gor the buck combining aspects of squat and deadlift… thx!
