Any problem with using an old Inzer Z-Suit with the straps cut as briefs instead of ordering some type of power pants? Basically I am saving to move up to a Metal IPF V-Type but want some briefs for basic ME/DE work.
Dude power pants are like 40 bucks, and are great, I have a pair and love them, although 40 pounds carryover at best. If you want comfort and better feeling hips, give them a shot.
There’s nothing wrong with it. You don’t even need to cut the straps. Just don’t put them up.
I still use my first suit- a single ply champion- as briefs when I want to go kinda raw. They are stretched to hell and go on and off in 5 seconds- but, if tucked under a belt, keep you a little tighter going down.
Thanks for the feedback, I know power pants are not that expensive but trust me when I say every little bit counts, I will give the old z-suit a shot.
I wear an old loose Crain suit with the straps down for deadlifting. I pull sumo and it keeps my hips from totally falling apart when training raw.

No need to cut anything…just wear it straps down and you have yourself a set of briefs.
