Lifting Briefs or Pants

Anyone have any suggestions on what lifting briefs or pants I buy? I lift raw but my physical thrrapist suggested I train sometimes with alot of compression so I might save on my hip.
any suggestions on what I should purchase? Briefs or pants. I want to be able to get these on by myself.

Check out some Inzer Power Pants. They’re cheap, like under $40 and single ply so they’re not super jacked up. I’ve had the same pair for almost 9 years now.

Just be careful not to get pulled to the DARKSIDE.

Do the Power Pants help you to overload at all or do they just help with compression? I’ve been thinking about getting briefs/pants/suit to help me overload. I don’t want it to affect my raw form though. I have no interest in doing geared meets.

Yes, they definitely allow me to go a little heavier. They are way stouter than any bicycle shorts or under armor tights. Thick polyester, doubled at all the seems and like triple stitched. It’s hard to say exactly how much they added, maybe 20 pounds? For me, they really support my hips/groin. The wider my stance, and the more I sat back, the better they worked. Also, if I pulled them up high really and cranked my belt down on them hard( I guess the way you’re really supposed to do it?) they worked better. Tons of power out of the hole, added maybe 30-40 pounds? Perfect for overload.

They really support the hips and would help save wear and tear.

If you were narrow or moderate stance squatter you could block of training with wide stance to change things up. The briefs would really allow you to overload.

Louie says to wear briefs when you box squat.

I don’t have much PL experience, and NO experience with real gear. I just recommended the Power Pants because they were cheap and easy to get on/off. Years ago someone on another board recommended I get some briefs to help after an adductor injury. I was looking at some expensive METAL briefs, when another guy suggested the power pants for like 1/3 the price. I was happy with them.

I know with a real suit you can go straps up or down, so maybe more long term versatility, but I’ve never put one on.

Any suggestions on sizing? I wear size 36 to forty pants

If I’m not mistaken aren’t you not looking for lifting briefs(Inzer Power Pants) but something more like Skins A400 shorts or rehband warm pants?

My waist size has ranged between 36-40, and bodyweight 220-250 and my size 36 Inzer pants have always fit. They are tight enough to bruise, especially when I’m fat. They work better fat also.

Good point Tyler.
Just for clarification, these things are a little more serious than the rehbands. You could wear those blue pants all workout, or like all day at a strongman competition. The Inzer’s won’t cut off circulation or anything, but I usually take them off right after squatting.

I just was advised that some compression could help with my hip and IT band. I have alot of pelvic tilt from years of lifting and not enough stretching.
What rehband do you think would be best for my issue? I saw several types.

I have narrowed my stance for now to relieve my hip of some stress. My pt also said to purposefully set for a squat pulling my hips posteriorly and then using my normal form. It has helped relieve that pinch feeling I get at the crease in my hip.

Do you have single or double layer?
