hey guys, i recently had a hormone panel done to see why i have been feeling sooo shitty for a long time.
Turns out I have legitimate adrenal fatigue. Because of this I will be training lighter and less frequent for the next several weeks and trying to avoid too much spinal loading as that can slow recovery of the nervous system and adrenals.
So my plan is to still squat a few times a week, but more for technique, and to load the legs I want to do more single leg variations. anyone ever done single leg training and gotten stronger/bigger legs?
also my left leg is a bit smaller then my right so i think i will do maybe 30% more volume on the left side.
I’ve had many guys split squat and have it transfer to their squat.
I would have them start with their front foot elevated, using dumbbells, then progress to flat foot with a bar on their back, then rear foot elevated with either the bar on their back or front rack position.

Why not just rest the legs a bit and not split squat? Just do the squats as you have mentioned for technique and speed.
They did some blood tests to measure this or something? Do they think this is chronic or just too much training?

yes, i have had both a saliva test and a blood test, both came up with the same basic results
I had a slightly different test over a year ago and things have changed since then so we really just believe its from too much stress, working 2-3 jobs, school full time and training everyday.
Im backing off on training frequency and have less stress right now. I will get the tests done again in 4-6 weeks to see if my levels are improving

Crazy man! Well I hope you a speedy recovery mate.
Did you just feel uber tired all of the time or something? Or it felt A LOT worse than just being ‘tired’?
