Sole of the Foot Pain

has any one experience a sharp pain running from the heal of the foot to the ball? It is a narrow & long area not the full width of the foot. I have been experiencing this since I was a kid. I am thinking imbalance, or injury, or something of the like because I have had it so long.

Any suggestions on how to maybe rid or minimize it. It is more pronounced when doing my agility/ endurance training for mma and not in the weight room.

With training imbalances and small injuries I have had more luck with the knowledge of T-Nation contributers than the MD’s. they are drug and knife happy. Any input would be appreciated.

I’ve gotten this since I was a kid. I assume it’s a tendon freaking out from overstress. I also have fairly flat feet. If I lunge or do a calf stretch when it’s feeling fragile I get instant pain, but with slow stretching I can get it to behave. Massage helps too.

Too make it worse I just need to plantar flex my ankle with resistance explosively and it’ll kill for a while. But why would I do that?

Plantar Fasciitis?

This sound exactly like what is going on. Does anyone have any stretches for the sole of the foot?

I have insanely flat feet. I’ve gotten this for years. Its especially horrible after I take my sneakers off (with orthotics) and walk around barefoot for a while.
