Skiers Thumb and Training

I recently had surgery to repair the UCL in my thumb, which requires about 6 weeks without use of it. First, I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with this injury. Second, I’m worried about losing strength, especially in my upper body. I know I’ll still be able to do things that don’t involve my right hand, like most leg exercises and abs.

I’m thinking about figuring out a way to use resistance bands for exercises like flys and rows though in order to at least not shrink as much. Just kind of looking for some guidance really. Thanks.
