Ooooh, I am reminded of - what did we call them? That 350 rep scheme or whatever. 340? Anyway, I love this style of working, think I will re-introduce it to my own stuff.

Deadlift - 4 sets of 6

160 x 6 x 4 sets (352 lbs) - RPE 6, 6, 6, 6
Solid pulls, no belt. Legs still pretty sore and tight from Monday. Moved ok though.

Hamstring curls
27.5KG - 4 sets of 12

Overhead press barbell strict - 3 - 30 reps.
60KG - (132 lbs)
9, 9, 8, 4 a little extra set at the end to make up the reps
SS
Pull ups
Bw - 8, 8, 8
Right wrist was really complaining after the pull ups

Lat raises front, side and rear giant set
12.5KG - 1 set

Called it a day here as I had to get home to take my son to his drums lesson. Still a really good session

Yes I kinda based it on that but changed the reps scheme a little. It’s really just 3 or 4 hard sets. Just like we did back in the 90’s

Yeah, three or four hard sets, but with a target to hit. Have to be a little tactical. Fun.

Fkn knees were angry. Tough sets. Massive pump.

Leg ext - 1 strip set

Holy cow legs were on fire.

Solid reps, focusing on moving fast from bottom of the movement with posterior contraction.

Reverse hypers - light machine only no weights added
Some reps

Db bench - target 3 sets 30 reps
20 warm up
40 x 10, 10, 11 fk yer. (88 lbs)
Happy with bench right now.

Damn good session. Proper old school sets and reps.

After I had finished bench and rows a gentleman a little older than me who was using a bench next to me came over. “Excuse me” he says. “Hope you don’t mind me saying but your work on those sets was really good. Very impressive”.

Of course I didn’t mind at all, always nice to get an unsolicited compliment. I said thankyou of course and then played it down as we tend to do.

Strongman Saturday conditioning

Tire drag and arm over arm.

Drag the tire 10m then run back and pull the tire back arm over arm with my new rope.

10 rounds of this. I kept these pretty light today, just had the 28KG sandbag in the tire.

This was a great recovery session. Got some blood moving through the legs, back and arms.

I think you have plenty of drive and are doing really well. On here or social media you only see small snippets. What you don’t see is me putting this off all morning and making excuses. Then finally putting my big boy pants on and getting some work done. :joy:

Fair. But I’m about 90% sure that I would drag the tire, run back, sit down, then call out to my husband that he’s gonna have to go get the tire cause I’m done. :rofl::rofl:

OMG I feel that. I get up every morning, put on my workout clothes and then sit in my chair drinking coffee until I force my ass downstairs to the gym. :rofl::rofl:

Same, sometimes I’ll up the ante and use a highly caffeinated pre-workout with other things that make your face tingle, that way if I missed the session I’d have to sit there all tingly and twitchy.

Short - ish rests. Arm pump especially forearms was terrible.
