Stayed out way, way too late with the young people. Plenty of time today, though, and got in a solid hotel workout.

  1. Smith Row
    45/10
    135/10
    185/8 x 4

  2. Superset

  • Smith DL
    225/5
    275/4 x 4
  • Pull-ups
    5 x 5
  1. Stretchers
    3 x 10

  2. Banded GM
Heavy band x 15 or so, drop to light band x another 8-10 x 3 sets

  3. Cable Crunch
    4 sets

Just getting my steps in for something resembling a CV effect today.

I’m curious what your definition of this is.
Good job on the workout.

Anything after 9, really, but last night I shut it down at 2. A very rare feat for me

I figured you were pretty close to my definition.

Combine it with my inability to sleep anyway, and I don’t feel great getting on this flight!

My legend, however, grows. Tales will be told of the Post-Midnight Ancient One

Got kind of a crappy workout in this morning. Did a little legs and a little chest.

Depending on volleyball/ flights tomorrow, I might hit one before I leave. I’m trying to do a good job of finding gyms on the road, but it is sometimes hard to “buy in” to workouts when I’m all over the place. Control what I can control, though.

Absolutely destroyed my legs this morning.

I was only home for about 48 hours, but I think I made the most of it. I had a family dinner, got my lifts in, went to my daughter’s volleyball tournament, and took my son to a midnight showing of “Scream” (predictably terrible).

Anyway, today’s lift:

  1. Calves
I decided to try doing these first as both as an easy way to start moving and maybe loosening my ankles up before squats.
    8 x 8 w/ 30s rests

  2. Lying Leg Curls
    Couple of warmups
Then I did 6 sets where I started with a set of 10, rested 20 seconds, went to failure, and so on. This was ok, but it kind of got too heavy at the end for a leg curl

  3. Squats
I used the rackable cambered bar for these again. The sets were supposed to be slow and paused, so I felt like this was a good time to practice this unfamiliar, monster of a bar.
All sets were a true 3s descent and 3s pause in the bottom. Misery!
I used the heel wedge too. This thing is fantastic. I use the really steep one and I feel great. Hurry - someone tell me about bandaids vs solutions!
    45/6
    135/6
    155/6 x 5

  4. Leg Press
This one was feet low and close - all teardrop.
    2pps/10
    3pps/30
    3pps/25
    2pps/40
    Ouch

  5. DB RDL
    75/10
    85/10

  6. Captains Chair
    4 sets

And off to the airport

Full chest workout in a crowded Greek gym - that was kinda cool!

Dude, you’re in Greece: you gotta carry SOMETHING. Make Milo of Croton proud.

On it! I carried myself up some freaking hills. I did lots of tourist-ing (Athens). I’ll have to actually go to work at some point, but I’ll get in some more sights before I leave

I read that first comment and thought you might have been in Lonsdale street in Melbourne. LOL

I haven’t got back into anything but the hotel gym the last couple days, but I still got another 8 miles in walking yesterday. Definitely one of my more active meetings.

I’m 44 - yikes!

Another couple months of hard travel, but a week of that, at least, is with my family. Hopefully I’ll start getting to something reasonable after.
