There’s a mini-resistance band I use in my gym for random rotator cuff stuff. I don’t know what they’re called but I do various wide “hand steps” on the wall. Wall climbers maybe.

My point is, maybe that’ll work in place of your pink band. There’s a few things I can try. I don’t know why I keep reintroducing overhead tricep work anyway, i’m sure I probably get enough stimulation with the overhead pressing.

Eh… both? I look big in a hoodie! You can kind of see where abs are supposed to be still. 10-15 years ago I would have been stoked about this size, but my goals are more about playing with grandchildren at this point you know? Eating like a slob and weighing over 2 bills is not the way. I’m not keeping my behaviors consistent to my goals, which is a sin!

I get some weird looks when I use it, but perks of being one of the ‘big guys’ is that you get the weird looks - then you see people making mental notes to do it when no one is watching lol.

Been getting some weird looks with the BFR bands I’m using too, but I just don’t care - my veins be poppin with those bands on.

Agree/disagree. Eating like a slob won’t help you any, but weighing over 2 bills while natty (and lean, sub 15%BF) sounds healthy as fuck.

My primary reason to use them! My arms look awesome when doing them. A little weirder on leg extensions…

Eh. I honestly just don’t know. It puts my BMI right at obese. I feel like more weight requires more out of the heart whether it’s “good” weight or not. On the other hand, my resting heart rate is below 60, my blood pressure is under control, and I don’t tend to have issues with blood sugars or any of the things typically associated with obesity outside of my syrup blood. Maybe I just have a normal physiologic variance; it’s not like I was getting annual bloodwork when I was young to compare anything.
It’s still time to lose weight!

I don’t do much with a bar (straight or EZ curl style), but I’ll use a rope or two dumbbells. I like using the DBs on any version of skull crushers. It allows for your natural elbow flare without the usual internal rotation at the shoulders that comes with a bar.

I get such a good kind muscle connection and pump on OH tricep work compared to presses or pushdowns. Think I read somewhere that oh tricep work activates the long head of the tricep more than any other tricep work.

Thanks man. It’s just my lazy habits that got me here, so cleaning them up should take care of it relatively quickly.
I’m 5’10.5”. That .5” is very important!

You don’t want to know how I’ve been living for the past year while managing to stay in my acceptable weight range of 225 - 235 lbs. And for the record, the bottom half of that range hasn’t made an appearance in awhile.

It’s crazy that we live in a world where 5ft 10" guys are considered the short ones. I swear I was average or even above growing up, now it seems like every man north of 16 years old towers over me.

It’s crazy going to sporting events for me as my kids get older. No way I could even think about playing high school football now, but 20 years ago I was not undersized at all for D1. I don’t know what they’re doing with these kids, but they’re enormous!

It’s gotta be diet related. At least that’s what they think in China where the average 13yr old male is 7.5cm taller and 6.6kg heavier than just 10 years ago!
