How’s your rosacea doing with the diet change? It’s crazy what foods do different things to people. I read about someone eating avocados being the cause of their psoriasis, and a gym pal swears that potatoes are what cause his acne. I have redness around my own cheeks that I struggle to get to grips with.
I was also wanting to ask you about some of your favorite premade programs? I’m starting football (soccer) coaching back up and my Sundays won’t always be free anymore. No more Every Other Day. I feel like you’re the person to ask as you seem to stay away from percentage-based programs and I don’t feel like I want a 5/3/1 variation.
Eh. Too early to tell. I’m taking antibiotics right now, so that calms it down. The real test will be if I don’t have any craziness for like 6 months.
Well, I guess it depends what you’re looking for and how much “optional” you want.
It’s not secret I’ve been on the Meadows train lately. I also have really enjoyed CT programs - Look like a bodybuilder, 6 weeks to superhero, and I, BB were some of my favorites.
When I’m traveling a lot, any of the Meadows base programs are nice for a handful of reasons:
- It’s only 4 days a week
- Arms and can happen in any hotel gym
- So that’s only 3 days that has to happen in a real gym
- I can cram the days together or spread them throughout the week without devastating impact
- I can always tack on some additional light work days if I’m feeling froggy
On the other end of that spectrum, CT has a lot of 4-5 day a week programs that can be run straight through. I might even give 6 weeks to superhero (with some customization) another run myself. The benefits there:
- Still fits into your week
- Has a lot more inherent conditioning, so you won’t embarrass yourself coaching
- Still isn’t percentage-based
- Has stricter progressions, and I think you still have strength goals

Awesome, cheers. I’ll take a look at all you’ve recommended. I’ve seen 6 weeks to superhero in the past and it looks like it would completely destroy me! My conditioning isn’t great as my digestive issues are causing shortness of breath at the moment so I would say I’m not 100% sure it’s the right time to do a program like that as the severity of my symptoms could influence the workout too much. Looking forward to checking out all the others.
I still have strength goals, yeah… but I’m not obsessing over it…and I’ll try not to say power building (whoops). I’ve even considered dropping the barbell bench completely. A bit of customization is nice as there are a few movements I’m really enjoying and progressing wickedly with them. Inspiration is what I’m looking for and I’m sure what you’ve suggested is chock full of it. I only had 2 sessions this week right after a deload and now have a forced 3 days off so I believe I will be able to start something a bit different Tuesday, even if it’s similar with just a different type of split with a C.Thib article. Been stuck in my ways for a bit as it’s continued to work. Feeling stale though.

I always recommend this one if you want to give something totally new a whirl. Consider the second chest/ shoulder day optional and you’ve got a 4-day a week program.

There’s quite a few quotes from comedians that come to mind, likely Bill Burr style, that would explain this phenomenon… but i should keep these to myself lol.
Was it one of those windows that is like halfway between the seats so her stake at least has some validity? Or was it like legit all the way between your seat and the seat in front of you?

BTW, I bought some blood flow restriction straps for the gunz and I’m thinking about running an arm-heavy routine for the next 4-6 weeks, depending progress… I’m throwing down the arm-gauntlet ![]()

In the past, I feel like a man would give the woman the option 100% of the time. And in return for courteous treatment the woman would be pleasant.

Ouch. To be fair, I really wasn’t thinking anyone else was using this window off my shoulder.
I hadn’t gotten that far yet lol. I see “cure for puny arm” articles everywhere because every guy to start lifting - ever - started to get big arms. The problem is that my arms really aren’t small, so I feel like a lot of these ‘specialization blocks’ don’t work for me.
Was considering some of the following though:
- Big Arm Blueprint
- BFR for Big Arms with 30/15/15/15 reps
- Paul Carter’s Big Arms in 8 Workouts
- Of course, there’s always Mountain Dog Arms but programming his stuff is such a nuissance lol. He does have 19" cannons though - so I may have to run it. (It’s always tough to trust a program written by someone with tiny arms, ya know?)

Courtesy runs both ways - IMO she fired the first shot.
Yeah, the whole thing has the feeling of a confrontation, with shots fired and a retaliatory strike under consideration.
In the past, the woman would have said something about wanting the window open, nicely, maybe with a smile and a little laugh. And the dude would go “Of Couse” and that would be it.
Now it seems like a lot of people want to challenge each other.
