Congratulations on the move!
Thanks man!
Glad the move went well.
Last time I moved I locked us out the house in the first 5 minutes with a whole lorry full of our stuff ready to be moved in but all the doors locked!
Had to use a coat hanger to grab a spare key through the letterbox.
Thanks man! It never goes smoothly.
We have neighbors across the street with a girl my daughter’s age that moved in the same week as us. That was a nice connection to make quickly.
Well done on the move, nothing more stressful. You kept on track and are still kicking ar$e so give yourself a big pat on the back mate.
Thank you good sir. It’s been a ride. I need to stop stressing the family out. Maybe one day…
Today my son lifted with me! So I only got a little work in. I’ll get the extra volume done this week though. He has never had any interest at all, really in doing anything with me, so I wasn’t going to bore him.
It was DE Bench. I warmed up and got through 205/5 x 6 (it was moving lightning fast too!) and he did band pull aparts and dumbbell bench (10#). He said he felt “big” and he had fun!
After that it was crowded and I wanted to end on a good note, so we came home and had turkey burgers and are watching pirates of the Caribbean (which is putting me to sleep). Good stuff.
Is that a unicorn I see flying past my window. Sounds like a brilliant session with him and a great way to top it off too. So good.
Some days the stars align!
Now he’s telling me how embarrassing I am, so life has returned to normal.
Lightning struck twice - my son wanted to go with me again! He even wanted me to wake him up to do it. This time he bounced back and forth between working in with me and going to the elliptical. If this is something he wants to keep doing, I’ll probably go an hour earlier in the morning, then get him so he gets his own focused session.
Separately, my shoulder hurts bad enough and has for long enough that I’m worried I’ve injured something. I’m still able to do what I’m supposed to do, though, so who knows. It mostly hurts outside the gym.

Taking the mini-bodybuilder to Thor after work - he gets so excited to go to these on opening day it’s like he can’t stand it; he can’t even make conversation today… not that preteen boys are excellent at that in the first place, but he normally likes to jabber
…
You think this might be related to your recent increase in training frequency?
My elbows started feeling like shit when running PPL 6x a week because they were under stress 4 days each week… they never got a chance to relax. Reducing frequency has helped my elbows a LOT. You might need to give the shoulders a little break - could just be inflamed and cranky.
I do think you’re probably onto something there. I have pushed a little too high a frequency lately. I have a forced 4 days off coming up week after next. Assuming I don’t destroy myself prior, that should help a ton.
After that, I finish this program and I’ll move to something a little gentler and kinder in that regard.
Thanks for pointing that out! It’s for sure the obvious staring me in the face.
Are you doing this movement ? If not maybe consider doing it ![]()
And if you want to learn even more than you already know, this books exists in english (strength training anatomy I, II and III) and they are gold.
Thanks!
Admittedly, I do none of that type of stuff. I just do whatever band pull aparts or rear delt is called for. I absolutely never take care of myself until something is hurting and I know that I should.
Thanks for dropping that in!
I don’t know if you like reading “bodybuilding/training” books, but those 3 are really top level. Number 1 is more an introduction and training at home stuff but still VERY interesting and 2 and 3 are top level information.
How was Thor? I’m taking my lad on sunday to watch it. He’s only 7 but loves all the marvel films and he’s soooo excited.
It was cool as hell!
Be aware, there’s a couple scenes that may create questions but might be over his head.
Sex scenes? I had to skip one in the externals but managed to get it in time as we only watched that at home not at the cinema.
No nothing that overt. They talk about where alien babies come from (it’s all jokes and not where human babies come from). So nothing blatant, but it’s there
What’s the set-up issue? I just do the Meadows Row motion with DBs. I don’t use a landmine. I just have to think about getting my elbows high and wide.
How are you doing man?!
The setup was finding a place for a barbell. I didn’t really try it with DBs. I can see how that would work, but it felt weird in my brain
