Silver and Steel

A @Frank_C sighting! How are you, my good man?

I think this is the natural evolution of anything. I would much rather teach folks up at work than anything anymore, but I used to like being “the talent” so to speak. I think you’re doing the right thing by leaning into it and sharing your wisdom! Someone told me, when I was getting cranky and leaving the army because I couldn’t be the guy anymore, that they didn’t need my body anymore; they needed my experience. I wasn’t mature enough to listen, but sounds like you’re finding it on your own.

I have to set the seat really high and get my elbows above my ears at the top, but I like it!

Thank you! You too. How is everything?!

I absolutely loved that one. If you’re in one place for a month, it’s perfect. It’s every day, but some days are just a quick shoulder workout or something so it’s very doable. I just can’t keep up with that hard stuff anymore, I’m finding. I could blame age, but it’s lifestyle too; you have to really take recovery seriously to be all-in.

I slept decently last night, although I did actually make the house too cold (I didn’t realize such a thing was possible); the worst part was I had to admit to my wife that it was, in fact, too cold. Surely we can find something acceptable between my 55 and her 75? My vote is 65 - that seems fair.

I dreamt that I woke up and there was a bar loaded with 315 next to my bed so I deadlifted it 71 times; then I woke up for real and went and did arms.

  1. Seated DB Curl
    3s eccentric
    3 x 6ish

  2. EZ Curl
    3 x 12

  3. EZ Preacher
    3 x 8

  4. BFR EZ Curls
    Fun!

  5. Rope Pressdown
    3 x 15-20

  6. Close-grip Pin Presses
    3 x 8
I kept these high up, above my neck - felt great on the triceps

  7. EZ Skullcrusher
    4 x 12ish
I’m bringing these a little lower lately, so right above my nose or so where I used to be forehead or higher; I’m able to feel it more in my triceps than elbows this way.

  8. BFR Pressdowns
    4 sets

  9. Standing Calf
Just 3 sets and some stretches to start getting back into these. I want to get back into the Meadows’ death sets, but I haven’t been doing calves at all so need to just get some reps in.

  10. Crunch Machine
    4 sets
