I started lifting seriously for the first time in my life about a month and a half ago. I had tried DLs before and more form was terrible, I used 95 and could only crank out a couple reps. I weigh 165 at 5’8" for reference. This sort of put me off of deads and I focused more on the squat for my big lower body builder. Fast forward to a sore hip and I decided to give DLs another shot. Watched some vids, practiced the motion a couple times, then headed to the gym.
The next night (last night) I was obviously sore and as I headed to bed I was pretty damned cold. I grabbed a sleeping bag and managed to fall asleep even though I was freezing. At about 3 in the morning I woke up feeling like shit, and chilled down to the bones. Now I was sleeping under a mummy sleeping bag that’s rated at 0 degrees. I felt sick - weak and cold. On top of this, I felt my legs and noticed my hamstrings were putting out absolutely no heat, neither were my glutes or my back. These muscles felt empty. Then I felt my quads abs and chest, which were all putting out heat. So I wake up this morning steaming hot and feeling… decent.
Basically the whole experience reminds me of a fever. Except as far as I know the 8 hours it happened in is a pretty short time span, and with the post chain feeling the way it did I don’t know what to think.
Has anyone else expirienced something like this?
