Siamand Rahman 305 kg Bench Press

How can I consider him a freak show when I’m giving him props as the GREATEST BENCHER EVER? I have mad respect for him and any “invalid.” They struggle with so much more shit than a normal, healthy human. Just surviving like that is impressive, let alone becoming the greatest at anything.

Untwist your fucking panties.
you are so dumb you don’t even know u r dumb

dont bother yolo. this younger generation thinks that being downright offensive while safely anonymous online is a badge of honor, shows the world how cynical and “edgy” they are. just ignore it. reference the “riding dirty” thread from a few years back.

I have to admire the brainwashing that has been on society. “Cripple” is offensive. “Fat” is offensive. “Weak” is offensive. “Ugly” is offensive. “Black” is offensive. “Midget” is offensive.

Calling some vertically challenged is the same as saying “the ‘n’ word.” You might not be using the actual “slur”, but everyone knows exactly where you’re refering to and they’ll probably be thinking it as well.

A lot of people in this world, and subsequently this forum, can’t think critically. They are going to maul you for making this comment. But I think this is a very interesting point. Kind of like how blind people have amazing hearing.

You aren’t taking anything away from this amazing guy, but you are just trying to rationalize this, magic doesn’t exist, but don’t try telling that to some people…
this is what happens when dumb people try to be smart.
Compelling argument…no yourrrre dumb, you big dummy.

Your turn.

This is rich coming from a guy who ends his “argument” by referencing magic LOL.

Sometimes people are so stupid that it is impossible for them to even understand that they are stupid.

Based on this thread, you are one of those people.

No doubt about it. I’ve seen Spoto make 705 look like a joke in person at the Animal Cage, but Rahman made it look even easier and paused it.

Poor Mendy though

I feel like he knew he had one last shot to make his record higher before Spoto took it from him forever and so he just went for it even though he wasn’t strong enough. I wonder if Rahman will beat Spoto to the record though…

I feel as if Spoto has no idea who Rahman even is. Imagine Rahman smashing the record with like 720 and Spoto having to deal with the fact that he was totally blindsided by someone of such minuscule proportions in comparison to the upside pyramid known that he is?

I love them both I really do, but for gods sake would someone please just TAKE Mendys record?!

i think this guy already has edged out their records, in my eyes at least. pick it apart on details, but really, really?

imo this guy is a probably the strongest raw bench presser in the world right now, unless of course Lewwhitehurst or some other random guy professor x knows who is training in a prison or local inner city hole somewhere(if you get the reference)decides to ever show up to a contest.

and i know (GROAN) this is a red herring around here and i will probably regret bringing it up, but IF, and this is a big if i admit, Rahman did this under IOC type testing, which i bring up because he did it at the para-olympics i think) well, lets just say that i doubt either Kennaly or Spoto would even consent to such testing, and i would not blame them.

I’ve gotten 2 valuable things out of this thread. OP’s video, and 2 new additions to my ignore list.

flipcollar iz happy.

If you think that guy has minuscule proportions then you need to find the other vids of him. He may not be able to use his legs but he is a monster from the waist up.

This guy’s strength and enthusiasm is really inspiring and makes me proud of my Iranian heritage, for all the animosity and crap it’s nice to see like minded people respect one another.  Anyways, just wanted to make a quick point about what the poster above mentioned about Siamand possibly being stronger since he hasn’t been able to use his legs. Many years ago when I broke my toe and had to use crutches I noticed my arms became a lot stronger, the fact that he’s had to make use of his arms pushing a wheelchair etc COULD maybe, just maybe have made him stronger over the years. I also don’t like the term cripple but I doubt he really gives a shit what someone says on the internet lol

Iranians are strong as hell at the higher weight classes man. Whether it’s Olympic lifting, powerlifting, or Strongman (Laurence Shahlaei lives in Britain, but is Iranian).

I just wish we could get along politically speaking so they could teach us how to lift.

Thanks, I didn’t know about Laurence! I agree, I hope things can be better one day politically.

As long we don’t start another war over it, everything should be fine eventually.

Yea I was only pointing out that which was never said. It’s be nice if people recognized the functions of things instead of the results all the time, this can lead to a better understanding of the world etc.

You’re still the village idiot.

I enjoyed flipcoars response where he explained a few things, that was cool.

i think if someone read this thread from start to finish it would be clear who the idiot is.

please start a thread about how we can gain “a better understanding of the world.” I bet you have some really riveting theories.

i will be sure to read it to my grandchildren.

thank you.

First of all, holy god.

Secondly, Heavythrower does IOC test these with the same standards as they do the normal olympics? Even if they do, I am pretty damn confident the Iranian weightlifting feds (along with pretty much everyone else) have figured out how to beat their tests. So I don’t think any more credit should be given for that, its not like he needs it anyway, the guy is a beast.

i dont know americaninsweden, good question.

i dont disagree with you, i am just saying that IOC testing policy is a bear. cumbersome, invasive, and way too picky.

i think it is ridiculous, most average people could not pass IOC doping standards if they were tested in that way in their day to day lives, lol.

too much caffeine, take a prescription pain or sleep medication, over the counter cold medications, whatever, you will get busted.

He obviously eats nuclear waste for breakfast.
