Shoulder Protection for Rugby

Hey guys,

I am towards the end of my recovery from a surgical repair for a torn rotator cuff, torn labrum, and a bony bankart lesion. I wish to return to playing rugby once fully healed but I would like to purchase some form of shoulder protection for when I am ready to play.

Would you recommend a shoulder brace to keep the shoulder in place or official rugby shoulder pads for extra padding? Also what brands for braces or pads would you recommend?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Look into the ones that football lineman/linebackers wear.
