Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here… I will be 36 in March… so about a year ago I somehow injured my left shoulder, got an MRI and the interpretation was small supscap tear, inner tear of the supra, and possible irregular SLAP tear. Problem is the surgeon says he doesn’t think the SLAP is indicated according to my physical eval… and he said he isn’t even sure he sees it on the MRI.
Ok well, he gave me a cortisone injection and sent me on my way. This was about 2 months ago. It hasn’t helped. I am not in severe pain, however my symmetry is getting unbalanced, pec and shoulder are somewhat visibly smaller and left bi is much smaller than it used to be and in comparison to my right side. All that being said, since the doc says the MRI isn’t showing a severe physical problem, what’s my issue?? Is it a result of poor nervous system activation? Should I go back and push for further treatment? Seek chiropractic? Hire a trainer who works with injury? Working out is and has always been a lifestyle for me and I am extremely unhappy under these current circumstances. Not sure when I’ll get back to check your responses, but I would appreciate anything that could help. So frustrated…
