I work out alot, and i arm wrestle alot. Recently during an armwrestle i felt in my bicep area a sort of pop feeling and it followed by an extreemly sharp pain. It went away in about an hour, but if i use my arm for anything the sharp pain comes back. Ive been useing ice and warm pads on it, but it still hurts. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?

Where do you think it popped?
I would seek medical help bro. That sounds like a tear.
The pain is towards the front of my bicep. It is where the bicep connects to the forearm. Right inbetween the bicep and forearm is where it hirts the most.
Might be time for some soft tissue work dude. Check out Tony G’s article this past week, as well as the ones on foam rolling by Cressey and Robertson. Good luck, hope you feel better.

So do you guys think i have a “knot” there?
A lot of people have had this, including me. Depending on the severity, it will probably go away in a few days.

It’s not a soreness that “developed”, it happened acutely after a “pop”.
I’d be worried about it and want to check it out since you say it hurts if you try to use your bicep.
I don’t think you said how much time has passed either?
I have hurt my arms before. Like over worked tris and biceps, and i would let them heal for a little while, but they would keep coming back.
So i didnt use them for 2-3 months. I thought they went away but then i armwrestled someone last friday( 3 days ago), and my arm is hurting. In the front of the bicep. When it first hurt my hand felt as it does when you wake up in the morning and u cant squeeze your hand or it feels tingley. I dont see any bruse or werid marks or distortions in my arm, but if i lift somthing kind of heavy or throw a ball it will start to sting.
By the way, im 16 years old and i wrestle. So im worried this will affect me wrestling.
sounds like you overtrained the hell out of them and it quit on you,go see a doc man
Have you got vick’s vaporrub, or any kinda of analgesic pain releiver? Smear that on your bicep. Do your other arm as well. And then go see a doc.
As a bit of a prehad, make sure your bicep and tricep work is relatively balanced, and try to do some rubber band hand extensions.
