I sprained my upper calf pretty bad about 3 weeks ago, then got the bug that had been going around…my competition is on 11/10, so I’m getting ready to get serious…well…as serious as I can get…

It’s the 2012 MD State Powerlifting Championships. That Page has Moved or Is No Longer Available | USA Powerlifting MARYLAND I’m competing RAW at 82kg.

My numbers back in March were:

Squat
135 kg
297.6 lbs

Bench
135 kg
297.6 lbs

Deadlift
170 kg
374.8 lbs

So, I figured I’d open with those…I’d like to hit Squat = 345 Bench = 345 and Deadlift = 425.

I’m collapsing the 5/3/1 program a tad. I try to do 3 days in a row Squat/Bench/Dead and then take off 1 or 2 days and then repeat…skipping the deload weeks. I’ll re-test for a max in mid-October .

It looks like your squat is overtaking your bench, good work!

Those are some HUGE gains if you can hit those numbers! Awesome.

Are you doing 5/3/1 for powerlifting? Are you adding in the heavy singles? Why are you compressing the program so much? Why not just skip the deload? Questions. Questions.
