Sen's Not Goin' Gentle Into That Goodnight

Figures I’d find my old pal in the grandpa forum.

What do you guys and gals wear? I’ve been wearing Sen Jr.'s old wrestling shoes and my ankles are feeling it. Rogue lifting shoes look neat…

Thoughts?[/quote]

This are not PL shoes they are just lifting shoes that I love to squat and DL in.

A guy I train with has the Rogues, great shoe. I got a pair of Adidas powerlift trainers as a fathers day gift. They are nice but get the Rogues, two straps to keep your foot from moving within the shoe and a wood heel. I got an 80 lb pr on squats wearing the belt and shoes. Biggest surprise for me is they seem to help my deadlift quite a bit, allowing me to get some quad into the pull. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I’d like to get the vibrams, but Sen the Third really, really, really wanted a pair when we was 11, but he has a webbed toe so can’t wear them. Ergo, he’d have a fit if I got them.

I skipped my dips and chin ups as it’s damn hot in the garage at Chez Say and She Say and I are heading out of town tomorrow night sans Sen Jr, second and third so I’m conserving my strength.

I drove to the east coast once. New York can suck my penis. Cost me $85 just to drive though the state and all I did was stop for gas.

Do they have good beer at the Bavarian Inn? Drink like 8 for me.

FYI, between my second and third toe is webbed, I just cut out the corresponding space in the shoe and sewed it together like a bridge. It works perfect and was an easy fix. I have the Vibram KSO’s and love them.

And remember, you are in West Virginia so don’t go out in the woods unless you happen to see Burt Reynolds with a crossbow. I’d hate to lose my guitar player.

Sounds good, but he hasn’t asked about them in about 6 months and I’m not very handy with sewing or anything else for that matter.

8 for you…8 for me…anyone else want me to drink beer for them?

Were they good beers? Nevermind…that question doesn’t make sense.

I have the new balance Minimus Zero Trail that you can see in the link above and love them for kettlebell sessions and DLs; for squats, though, I tend to stick with my Chucks more often than these. Will have to ask Fischer…he has a cool pair of lifting shoes but I can’t recall the name…
