X2 CONGRATS!!
Thanks amigoes !
Will get videos up soon.
Weighed in at 7:00. Luckily had gotten briefs the night before. Made weight…think by like 2 kilos…diet wasn’t perfect the last week, but through protein shakes and beer I got there.
Was in the second flight.
Squatted 245 on my opener. Stepped forward a split second before the ‘rack’ command. They allowed the lift. Squatted 265 on the next attempt and felt really strong. Wanted to try 300, but had planned on 285, so went for 297.5 or 10 lbs more than what I’d planned. Got it pretty easily. Squatting is my most difficult to train for in my gym, but I’m happy.
Bench - opened at 245 rather than the 265 I’d planned just to make sure I got it. Went up easy. Hit 275 on my next attempt easy. Blasted 297.5 up with little trouble. Once again wanted 300, but laid off.
Deadlift - Opened at 335, no trouble. 355 went up easy and then hit 378
Loved the meet. Can’t wait for the next one !

Hmm . . . weren’t you the guy so worried and nervous about it? It never fails . . . once you do it, you’re hooked.
Did your son manage to get in?

I almost didn’t show up on Saturday! Believe it or not Sen Say gets nervous easily!
Sen Jr. did not make it in…just as well…I don’t think he would have enjoyed it…however now that I’ve done one I think he might be more amenable to working out at his school where they have proper equipment rather than just in our garage.
297.5 squat
bench 297.5
I think this was 374 pounds…
Oh I loved your vids. Glad the meet was great fun for you. You can definitely put up bigger numbers in the future as you didn’t look particularly taxed. And you sure are squatting DEEP. Congratulations!
I cannot believe you homoes let this fall to page 2…
Anyone got a problem with me buying this belt:
http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?cid=299&m=PD&pid=3495
If so, can you recommend a better one?!?
THANKS!!
Personally, I love my lever. But some people prefer a prong.
Sen,
That looks like a good belt, I just ordered an Inzer lever belt after doing a bit of looking around, might check this thread:
Meat uses and recommends the inzer lever belt, good enough for me.
that’s a good belt, I know a few who have it, almost as good as Inzer forever belt.
Sen were you aware that they said your name in the videos? ![]()
Great lifts man, looked like a lot of fun.

I am thinking of coming out of the shadows…now that there’s apparently no longer a SAMA on here I can be respectable…though where I’ll show nekkid she say remains to be seen…

I respect Meat and your advice, but it seems awfully complex…I think I’m going with red white and blue single prong http://www.inzernet.com/detail_belt.asp?PRODUCT_ID=FOREVERBELTS_BUCKLE10MM
Did i mention I love booze?!?! kpsnap I’m taking you to the casbah !
