Thinking about doing a side job at parties doing tricks and stuff.
I’ll load a stone over someone’s head.

Go for it man!
7/28/14
Back squats
45x8
95x8
135x5
185x5
225x3
225x10x2
left leg lunges
bw x 10,x 10
right leg split squats (still have to build strengrh and hypertrophy with my right leg, for some reason it’s just stuck to being gimped since my injury)
bw x 15, 15,15
squats today felt pretty horrible. my upper back was just cramping trying to even hold the bar in a low bar/high bar position and the squats felt really forced. i am VERY tight from the runs yesterday but i hate days where less than half my max pushes me down.
8/1/14 - got a slingshot. had no plans to train until it arrived and hit up some bench. quite a pleasant session.
Bench press
135x8
225x5
275x3
275x1
Bench press w/ sling shot
225x3
275x3
315x1
350x1
385x1
405x1
425x1
365x5
315x10
8/3/14
14" Deathlifts
135x8,5
225x5,3
315x3,3
405x3 felt surprisingly easier than 315
belt on
495x1
565x1 easy
605xf SO close. Stalled out for what seemed like forever. originally planned to take 590 as a number i knew i could hit 100%, but got a bit complacent and took 605.
495xfailed this about 6 or 7 times. Frustrating to fail such a light weight, but it’s because of my previous attempt at 600.
405x5
405x8
405x8
405x8
405x15 could have done 20 too.
shuttin er down
Dude 14" isn’t that far from a regular pull… Pretty cool shit.

Yeah man. It’s interesting breaking down my pull in the way I have this past month or so. I pulled 700 so easily from 18 inches. I had no idea 2, or even 4 more inches would mean for so much more difficulty lol. 16 was the hardest for some reason.
You’re right though. I set up the boxes and was sure it was 14 inches, until it was 16 lol. 14 was deceivingly low. I’m gonna train 12 next time, hopefully 565-585 will happen. From there it’s just going to be playing from different heights and manipulating variables. I feel like this overloading is GOING to give me what I need to get my pull passed 550 and into where it belongs.
8/5/14 - im a close grip bencher, so benching wide today was just for fun and it kind of utilizes the slingshot a bit more so fcuk it
Bench press (wide grip) w/ sling shot
345x2
365x1
385x2 easy double
225x25
no assistance just because i went too crazy at work today
8/7/14 - went to the gym today and stoning was taking place
Stones to 50 inch plat (dont remember all the weights of the stones except the big ones)
~200x3
~285x2
335x1 first time touching a 20 inch diameter stone in 3-4 months so I was apprehensive going into this but it felt easy which was good
364x0
364x1 retacked and got it PR stone weight but strained something in my trap semi-badly, felt like a pretty sharp burn on the load but didnt seem to hinder it much
388x failed to break it off the floor. 22 inch stone and it’s kind of fucking heavy lol. just wanted to try it.
did some really light keg presses (150 i think) for fun, and then hypers which i’ve never done routinely.
trap shouldn’t be a problem, but it feels all weird when i try to go frogmode flex. like a burn like the muscle just ripped or something ![]()
also, elite tacky works 10x better in warmer weather than spider tack and i think overall too. it’s so much more adhesive.
bw@235 getting fatter hey-oh
Awesome job on the stone PR! I don’t think I’ve ever even tried a stone that big!

I’m gonna get some. I’ve never tried tacky, but I cannot even fucking budge that 20" stone I made, and I’m hoping that tacky will be the deciding factor.
I am sure that Vinny will weigh in on this, but for me, tacky makes the stones feel like they have handles. The difference is insane.

I think it depends on your leverages and the way you lift barbells (to a certain extent because some people are just freakish stone loaders innately).
For instance, when I set up for a stone, I don’t fuck around with my grip or play with my hands on the stone hunched over like alot of people do.
at like 3 minutes in is my 355x2 which I did pretty easily with LIGHT spider tacky only. I just grip it and rip and I think it preserves the tacky and if you’re not a slow twitch (using this term erroneously, as somebody who pulls slower and rely’s more on torque and technique to pull) deadlifter, like I am not, it seems to help quite a bit to be as fast as possible.
To conclude, a couple of guys I was competing against were 650+ deadlifters and only managed less or the same number of reps I had, I think with the exception of Nick Cambi who got like 4 with the 355.
I don’t really think a 300+ is going to be that hard for you when you get some tacky.
8/10/14 - traps feeling good and my body is feeling pretty pain free atm so time to deadlift. resorting to sumo today because my back is hurting from the awkward height and quite frankly, it feels 10x easier than i ever thought it could with sumo.

225x5
315x3
405x3
495x2
545x1 so light lol

Thanks dude. I actually purchased a log from Texas Power Concepts, hoping it gets here before the end of the month. I’m getting hungry after watching you smash overhead PR’s.
