Oi. I’m back to logging. Figure a complete immersion would be good for my training as well as cognition altogether.
Stats:
Age - 19
Height - 5’8-5’9 not sure
Weight - ~210 morning weight right now
Focus - Strength sports leaning strongman
Occupation - Student (mechanical engineering major with physics minor); Science Teacher/Childcare Administrator/Office Assistant for the summer
Best Lifts (currently below all of them lol):
Strict press - 242lbs
CG Bench - 385lbs
Bench - 410
Squat - 580; 500 (beltless)
Deadlift - 605; 570 (beltless)
Dips - 180x3
Pullups - ~135x3
Strict Press
45x9
135x7
165x4
195x1
225x1 – might actually be a PR at this bodyweight
Notes:
This is probably the fastest that my pressing strength has recovered after a hiatus, so I’m optimistic.
Something (most likely scar tissue) popped in the left column of my back while pressing 225 and the bar speed increased substantially. Weird, but it felt good.
Dumbbell Strict Press
Right/Left
45x8/45x8
65x3/65x3
80x2/80x2
95x1/95x1
105x2/105x2 – PR with both arms
Notes:
Obviously different from pressing the circus dumbell. Greater ROM and thinner handle.
I like them and will definitely keep doing them.
Seated BTN Press
(135x5)x2
(155x4)x2
[i]Notes[i]:
Haven’t done these since high school lol. It’s funny that I was 165 pretty comfortably then. I’ll probably get a lot stronger on these.
Shrugs
used straps
315x8
405x8
495x8
Notes:
Love a heavy stretch in my traps. Whole trapezius lit up.
I can hold this much weight, but I prefer to use straps when training any back musculature.
Barbell Rows
used straps
135x12
185x12
225x12
[i]Notes[i]:
Haven’t been able to do these comfortably for a long time, so I’m pleased.
