I had surgery to repair a ruptured achilles tendon almost 9 months ago. My left calf muscle atrophied a lot. I am looking for advice on rebuilding the calf muscle. My current regimen is:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
—8 sets/12 reps of single donkey calf raises w/ a dip belt for my right leg
—12 sets/12 reps of single donkey calf raises w/ a dip belt for my left leg
—8 sets/12 reps of seated calf raises using both legs
—4 sets/12 reps of seated calf raises using only my left leg
Sunday,Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
—Lifting and Run 4-6 miles
Any thoughts on what I am currently doing or better ideas of what I should be doing to regain my lost calf mass? Any thoughts on using Strength Shoes to help ? Thanks in advance.
